In my opinion, most free software isn't just an alternative to closed-source software;
they often act more like pirates.
If you think this isn't true, that's fine.
Just search for examples on Reddit or other platforms.

One example is Spotube, an alternative that allows downloads and has no advertisements (available on F-Droid).
