⚠️IN 1752, THE JULIAN CALENDAR WAS REPLACED BY THE GREGORIAN CALENDAR, MOVING THE NEW YEAR FROM MARCH 25 TO JANUARY 1, AND ALSO CANCELING TWO DAYS IN SEPTEMBER⚠️
At that time, in 1752, it was the townspeople who followed this change, the rural residents, like the peasants, did not accept the new regulation of the calendar. Those who lived in the countryside ( the so-called pagans) still followed the traditional calendar, guided by the constellations. Stylistically, the Russian standard is clearly based on the Austrian and Chinese flags. More precisely, Chini. But more on that later.
By the way, why is the Russian standard in the first place in the atlas? Yes, the US flag is located in the center (an atlas was published in America), but in honor of it, the Russian flag won first place in 1874?
