In the east of the southern port devastated by weeks of shelling, the plant lies in an industrial area that looks out to the Sea of Azov and covers more than 11 sq km (4.25 sq miles), containing myriad buildings, blastfurnaces and rail tracks.

Russia has sent an ultimatum to the Office of the President of Ukraine that if the surrender of Azovstal was not agreed, the plant will be razed to the ground with vacuum bombs.

Anyone refusing to #surrender will be buried alive, and the choice of what to do is up to Zelensky.

- The vast majority of mercenaries are now distributed as part of Ukrainian groups in the cities of Kyiv, Kharkov, Odessa, Nikolaev and Mariupol;

- As a result of hostilities, the number of mercenaries is steadily declining and today is 4877 people;

- 1035 foreign mercenaries were destroyed in the fighting by the Russian armed forces. Another 912 mercenaries refused to participate in hostilities and fled the country.

The destruction of the commanders of the #Ukrainian 36th #Marine #Corps #Brigade by the special forces of the #DPR

During the breakout by the Marines of the 36th brigade, from the #Ilyich plant of #Mariupol, there was 2nd breakout attempt by the Brigade command.

The rank and file Marines were thrown under the fire of our units, like meat, to divert attention.

The main task was the exit of commanders.

But our intelligence works, as always, perfectly!! The DPR special forces prevented an attempt by the top command staff to leave .

During the battle, up to 50 servicemen were destroyed, of which five were senior officers of the brigade, and another 42 surrendered.

The body of the Brigade commander, Colonel Vladimir Anatolyevich Baranyuk, was later discovered.
