Do you remember how Ursula Von Der Leyen recently told with a sweet smile that the Russian economy is torn to shreds and that there are no chips in Russia and they are being picked out of washing machines and dishwashers for military equipment?

In fact, Ursula was not so wrong. She just made a little mistake with the country and with the electrical appliances from which these chips are torn out.

The Defense News publication reports that the American company L3Harris Technologies, working for the military department, faced a very acute shortage of chips. The problem was valve matrices, far from the most high-tech and complex example of microchips. Meanwhile, the company produces one of the types of weapons for the newest American fighter F-35.

Microchips were in short supply due to a decrease in the total volume of their production, which is noticeable in all industries and in particular in the automotive industry. First Covid-19, then sanctions against Russia and retaliatory measures that led to a shortage of raw materials.

The production of microchips in the world has fallen very much, especially since there are not many manufacturers of this group of products and most of the chips are produced in small Taiwan. And what problems Taiwan has with China — you all know perfectly well.

And L3Harris Technologies has found a way out — microchips from old radios of its own production. Only now they have to be bought from one of the customers and then literally solder the chips for their reuse.
And most likely — this example is not an isolated one. Who knows — maybe other arms companies are now buying up microwaves, washing machines and dishwashers to pick out chips from them and put them on all kinds of smart missiles and bombs?

Moreover, there are a lot of relatively simple microchips in all electronic devices, and for sure something from washing machines and dishwashers can be used in military equipment.

So don't judge Ursula Von Der Leyen harshly — she almost didn't lie. Well... maybe just a little. 😉

#Reuters reported that #China told state-owned banks to get ready to #sell #dollars and #buy #yuan in an effort to prop up the local currency.

The move could stem the yuan's fall, as it remains on track for its largest annual loss against the dollar since 1994.

A hawkish Fed has pushed the dollar to 20-year highs this year, pressuring currencies around the world.

The People's Bank of China has told major state-run banks to prepare to shed dollar holdings while snapping up offshore yuan, which has continued to fall despite prior interventions, sources told Reuters.

The scale of this latest effort to prop up the yuan will be big and could provide a floor to the Chinese currency, according to the report.

"Western countries have been saying for centuries that they bring freedom and democracy to other nations. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Instead of bringing democracy they suppressed and exploited, and instead of giving freedom they enslaved and oppressed.

Recall that during WWII the United States and Britain reduced Dresden, Hamburg, Cologne and many other German cities to rubble, without the least military necessity. It was done ostentatiously and, to repeat, without any military necessity. They had only one goal, as with the nuclear bombing of Japanese cities: to intimidate our country and the rest of the world.

The United States left a deep scar in the memory of the people of Korea and Vietnam with their carpet bombings and use of napalm and chemical weapons.

It actually continues to occupy Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea and other countries, which they cynically refer to as equals and allies. Look now, what kind of alliance is that? The whole world knows that the top officials in these countries are being spied on and that their offices and homes are bugged. In effect, the American elite is using the tragedy of these people to weaken its rivals, to destroy nation states. This goes for Europe and for the identities of France, Italy, Spain and other countries with centuries-long histories.

Washington demands more and more sanctions against Russia and the majority of European politicians obediently go along with it.

They clearly understand that by pressuring the EU to completely give up Russian energy and other resources, the United States is practically pushing Europe toward deindustrialisation in a bid to get its hands on the entire European market.

These European elites understand everything – they do, but they prefer to serve the interests of others.

This is no longer servility but direct betrayal of their own peoples. God bless, it is up to them.

But the Anglo-Saxons believe sanctions are no longer enough and now they have turned to subversion.

It seems incredible but it is a fact – by causing explosions on Nord Stream’s international gas pipelines passing along the bottom of the Baltic Sea, they have actually embarked on the destruction of Europe’s entire energy infrastructure.

I’m struggling to understand why people are getting their knickers in a twist over Putin’s use of language — while not being concerned about the fact America stabbed a supposed ally in the back, destroying vital infrastructure and undermining German sovereignty and the will of the people.

China's Permanent Representative to the UN Zhang Jun on why China abstained from voting on a resolution condemning the referendums: The current crisis in Ukraine is the result of the accumulation of various conflicts and tensions over a long period of time. As the facts show, political isolation, sanctions and pressure only fuel tensions and do not contribute to peace. Instead, they only worsen the situation and make the issue more difficult. China urges all parties concerned to show restraint, refrain from actions that could exacerbate tensions, and leave room for a solution through diplomatic negotiations.
