Unsurprisingly while trying to make the #Russian #Nuclear drill actions sound as aggressive as possible, even though all the Russians did was test #missiles by firing them from one part of Russian territory, to another part of Russian territory, the producers of this video dishonestly make it sound like Russia actually exploded a Nuke bomb "near US Territory".

All they did was test missiles ........ on their own territory!


This video of course neglects to mention  that #NATO held similar #Nuclear #Drills just last week around the #Baltic, almost right on #Russia's doorstep.

ISIS ATTACK ON IRAN: BOMBING AT SHIRAZ SHRINE KILLS 15

Attack hit the #Shah #Cheragh Shrine in the southern city of #Shiraz, with at least two children killed.

Iranian state media company #IRNA said that the attackers acted like “#takfiri terrorists”, in reference to groups such as #ISIL (#ISIS).

#NourNews, another media outlet affiliated with the Iranian state, reported that the attackers were not Iranian nationals.

The Fars News Agency said that one woman and two children were among those killed.

Shiraz is a popular destination for pilgrimages and tourism, and the last such attack to take place in the city was in April 2008, when a bomb planted in a mosque killed 14 people.

The real number is nowhere near that figure, which Murphy knows, I'm sure.

I looked it up and as I suspected someone has been stretching the truth

That number started off around 90,000 and now astoundingly has been inflated to 166,000

"According to the latest figures, as recorded in the census this year, 166,752 were recorded as vacant in the State – a fall of 9% on 2016 numbers.

The CSO emphasised that the categories for vacancy were broad and not indicative of long-term vacancy.

•35,000 vacant homes were vacant because they were up for rent,

• 27,000 dwellings were empty because the property owners died

• 23,000 were under renovation.

The CSO states that properties that are classed as vacant in the census may only be vacant for a short period of time"

That includes all sort of derelict historical dwellings, empty for years now unlivable, and lots of short term "empty" dwellings, waithing for renovation, or to be sold or have a new tenant.

Knew it was a BS stat.

Interesting how it also grew from 90,000 and uber-inflated to 160,000 in a short space of time

It seems to originate from a Parliamentary question:

"the GeoDirectory Residential Buildings Report states that there are more than 90,000 vacant dwellings across the country"

Murphy admits that 48,000 were empty in the previous census, which would indicate that they are longterm empty and the majority are probably now either derelict, on the way to dereliction, and/or requiring large investment in order to renovate.

Let's say at least 50% (24,000) fall into the above categories,

If you take the 24,000 above and add it to the

• 35,000 vacant homes were vacant because they were up for rent,

• 27,000 dwellings were empty because the property owners died

• 23,000 were under renovation.

You get 109,000.

Subtract that from 166,000 and you're left with a mere 57,000

Which in a country with a 5 million population, and with a total of 2,124,590 permanent dwellings (Census 2022) is A MERE 2.68% OF THE CURRENT HOUSING STOCK

Murphy surely knows all this yet chose to use the most ridiculous interpretation possible of those  numbers, with absolutely no regard for the truth,  like the sociopathic liitle gurrier he truly is

I'll admit to not considering the issue of overlap concerning those categories and numbers above, because I dont have the data to do so.

Nevertheless my calculations are a far more honest attempt to address this issue than Paul Murphy's, who chose to ignore entirely the existance of any and all relevant data-categories  presumably because they would severely reduce his dishonest headline figure of 166,000
