"We are accustomed to the fact that our American colleagues put themselves above the law, claiming that they are the law"

Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya spoke at a meeting of the Security Council on the terrorist attack on the Nord Streams. What the representative of Russia said:

▪️The reputation of the journalist Hersh does not allow doubting his conclusions about sabotage. The motive, perpetrator and method of committing the crime are beyond doubt.

▪️The countries that are behind the blowing up of the gas pipeline will have to compensate Russia for the damage caused.

▪️The first round of consultations on the Russian resolution showed that the West is not interested in an objective investigation.

▪️The investigation of Germany, Denmark and Sweden on this terrorist attack is aimed only at shielding the United States and covering their tracks. Russia was not invited to it.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the European economy over the past year has been weakened by the fact that Brussels has constantly defended the interests of the administration of US President Joe Biden, and not the EU itself

He spoke about this at a closed meeting with deputies of the Hungarian parliament from the Fidesz-Christian Democratic People's Party (PPCD) alliance, the newspaper Magyar Nemzet reports.

According to the prime minister: "Europe has weakened over the past year because the Biden administration is enforcing its interests indefinitely in Brussels at the expense of European interests. Responses to war, the sanctions tsunami, began to weaken the European economy, while America, rich in cheap energy, is not affected,” the message says.

Orban also noted that "the military power of Europe began to weaken, because the war reduced the stocks of European armies, and they were not bothered to replace them."

Thus, "in just a year, Europe lost its independence, economic and military power."

The Hungarian Prime Minister, by tradition, before the start of the parliamentary session, outlined before the deputies the opponents of the Fidesz-PPCD alliance, whom he called "the Biden administration, pro-war Brussels bureaucrats and pro-war politicians", that is, those "international interest groups" that are "on the side of the war" .

Hungary itself, according to Orban, “must defend its independence, which means defending a peace-loving position against the Biden and Brussels administrations”, “wage war against inflation” and “strengthen Hungary’s military power, because peace needs strength.” Then Hungary will be able to emerge from the crisis period "unscathed and strengthened."

Earlier, Orban said that Europe is losing by refusing Russian energy sources in favour of American ones, since it is forced to overpay for them by 5-10 times.

According to him, Europe should ask "American friends" questions about who wins in this situation.

Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Laszlo Kever said earlier that the European Union can already be called the loser in the Ukrainian crisis, as it acts contrary to its own economic interests. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said earlier that the US is the beneficiary of the recession in Europe.

⚡️ The Ministry of Defense of Moldova rejects Russian statements about a provocation being prepared by Ukraine in Transnistria, - BBC

The statement of the Russian Defense Ministry about possible provocations by Ukraine in the Transnistrian region is "an element of a psychological operation," said State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Moldova Valery Mizha.

The rest of the cameras at the checkpoints at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border are working fine.

‼️Urgent statement by the Ministry of Defense of Russia!‼️

⚡️ The Kiev regime has stepped up preparations for the invasion of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic

◽️ As previously reported, this action of the armed forces of Ukraine will be held in response to the alleged offensive of Russian troops from the territory of Transnistria.

◽️ The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is currently recording a significant accumulation of personnel and military equipment of Ukrainian units near the Ukrainian-Pridnestrovian border, the deployment of artillery at firing positions, as well as an unprecedented increase in flights of unmanned aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the territory of the PMR.

◽️ Implementing the planned provocation by the Ukrainian authorities directly threatens the Russian peacekeeping contingent deployed legally in Transnistria.

◽️ The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will adequately respond to the impending provocation of the Ukrainian side.

🇪🇺🇺🇦 One recent Ipsos survey shows a downward trend in support for sending weapons and/or air-defence systems to Ukraine in Europe, with German support falling below half for the first time (down by seven percentage points to 48% between March-April 2022 and November-December 2022) and the Netherlands (down by six percentage points to 59%).

More surprising, though, is that even among Ukraine’s loudest supporters there appears to be some degree of war-weariness: in the same Ipsos survey, there was a 10-percentage point decline among Poles supporting the most stringent economic sanctions against Russia and an 11-percentage point decline in accepting Ukrainian refugees.

According to one January Forsa poll, an astonishing 80% of Germans said that it was more important to end the conflict quickly with negotiations than for Ukraine to win. Similarly, a survey of nine EU countries by Euroskopia found that over 60% of Austrians and Germans want the war to end quickly whereas the Dutch, Portuguese and Polish are strongly opposed to this idea.

War fatigue thus appears to be setting in faster in Germany than in any other country, with public opinion hardening in recent months. Almost half of Germans (43%) now agree that ‘the problems of Ukraine are none of our business, and we should not interfere’, marking an 11-percentage point increase from March-April 2022 to November-December 2022. This may go some way towards explaining the rise of Sahra Wagenknecht, one of the co-leaders of Die Linke, who is, with some success, spearheading an anti-war movement in Germany.

Western leaders displayed remarkable levels of unity during the first year of the war. One year in, however, and their voters are beginning to be more hesitant in their commitment.
