Dear MIUI Updates Tracker and XFU users,

After several unsuccessful attempt to conclude a talk with Xiaomiui team, we are unfortunately going to publicize this incident to the public.

Some of you might know Xiaomiui as a channel to post leaks and other Xiaomi stuff, they also post MIUI Updates links. After investigations, we have found out that they are stealing our resources from our channel recently.

How did we conclude to this result?
We have seen that Xiaomiui begins to post "changelogs" to their channel. We do not claim any ownership towards these link, anyone can retrieve it and use it freely. However, we tried to test if they are copying us or not by "mocking" the changelogs of a release from a device.

The device we have "mocked" the changelogs is Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (cmi) with firmware version V12.5.4.0.RJACNXM, Android 11, China.

After we have mocked the changelogs on channel post, it only took Xiaomiui 8 minutes to fully copy everything from us, including the "mocked" changelogs. Note that this "mocked" changelogs does not exist on Xiaomi's OTA server or anywhere else. This is fully faked and made by us to check if they are stealing our resources or not.

We do know that they are stealing resources from us since a long time, but have taken no actions and have remained neutral, friendly and respectful towards the Xiaomiui team.

As said in the beginning of this letter, we have attempt to conclude in a peaceful outcome, however, we received no cooperations from the Xiaomiui team and they are disrespectful towards us.

The evidence of our claims will be provided in the next message after this post.

- To inform users to not support an entity who have been copying our works. If you believe in fair work, please, be with us on this incident and continue to support us in the future. Please do not support thief channels. Please unsubscribe from their channel and spread the word as far as you can about this incident and help us fight the thief.

A follow up to this announcement.

Dear users,

We have received Xiaomiui Team response to our letter. We are grateful for every users support and hope that users will continue to support us in the future.

We will begin to reply to points made by Xiaomiui in their response.

1) In replying to us Xiaomiui claim that we are trying to misinform users by faking a changelog, we never have an intent to misinform any users and have been providing the best method to track MIUI updates since 2018. The reason we "mocked" the changelog is because we would like to prove that Xiaomiui is stealing from us in an automated way.

2) Xiaomiui have confirmed that they "referred from multiple sources to fill the gaps", this is totally fine with us, however, shall the "multiple sources" be mentioned when used, and not claiming the resources to be all yours.

3) In replying to Xiaomiui claiming that we are "anti-competitive", we believe that we are not "anti-competitive" and commit to make a fair community for everyone. We do not encourage anyone to spread toxicity or spam in Xiaomiui related groups. However, we will stand against those who steal our work. Mentioning "anti-competitive", we have never banned or blocked anyone from using our services freely, looking at one of Xiaomiui admins action made yesterday after the first letter, they have federation banned @XiaomiGeeksBot which resulted in removal of our bot from nearly 40 groups.

We have seen misunderstanding from several users about our original letter, we will be addressing some of the concerns.

1) Some users do not understand what "faking" the changelog means. To make it easy to understand, we fetched from Xiaomi OTA server then automatically post the update to the channels, this is the result from the Xiaomi OTA server regarding the firmware version.

However, we have altered the changelog by replacing it with a "mocked" or "faked" changelog to see if Xiaomiui is stealing from us or not.

2) In the first letter, we have accidentally miss a typographical error, we have originally address Mi 10 Pro as "umi" when it is supposed to be "cmi" and we apologize for that.

3) But it's just a changelog! Indeed, it is just a changelog, however, this made the clear point that they are stealing from us.

4) We have seen some users reportingly trolling and spamming on Xiaomiui groups, this is not cool, we do not encourage you to do it, please, stay cool.
