MSI VECTOR 16 HX AI A2XWHG-046 CPU Package power
Hi, I've just purchased an MSI vector 16 hx ai laptop (Model number a2xwhg-046). After I receive, I've done some inspection before activated windows and found something abnormal. The CPU in the laptop which is the Intel Ultra 7 255HX cannot reached the performance as intended. The CPU Cinebench R23 bencemark score is only around 23000, quite low compare to the normal bencemark score that you can search in any same model unboxing video which is 34000. I do further inspection with AIDA 64 Stability test and monitor with HWINFO and found the abnormal part. I've found out that the CPU package power only fluctuate around 65W instead of fluctuating between 140 to 170W in those same model benchmark and unboxing video. I've make sure I've changed it to the extreme performance mode, discrete GPU settings, battery is 100% fully charged and plugin with AC adapter and the temperature of the Ultra 7 255HX doesn't exceed 70°C. So I can't confirm that this is not a thermal throttling issues but a power limit issues. The 5070 ti GPU is working fine. I would like to know anyone with the same spec or same model laptop, what's your CPU (Ultra 7 255 HX) performance and package power under CPU only intensive workload (like stress test with Aida 64 or R23)? I suspect I've received a defect unit

MSI cyborg a15 vs HP VICTUS?

I am looking to replace an old Alienware with one of these laptops. Anyone have thoughts on which maybe better in terms of build quality? I am hoping one of these won’t fry itself and last years. I am also hoping someone can tell me which has the better screen as I can’t really tell what really makes a difference between these 2 computers

MSI Stealth 16AI High idle temps Help?
So just bought a used MSI stealth 16ai studio with the rtx 4060 and core ultra 9 185h
and this processor is driving me crazy, like i have never had a laptop with a hotter processor than this, i understand that the cooling isnt optimal since the MSI Stealth is pretty slim.
But idle temps of 60-70c are just insane and doing benchmarks or stability tests drives the cpu to the near limit of 95-105c i know the max operating temperature of this processor is 110c but if it starts reaching that temp might as well throw my stove away and use this laptop.
Does anyone know a way to limit this cpu or lower the temps without loosing too much performance?
I am going to change the thermal paste soon but i am pretty sure that wont solve my problem, since new thermal paste usually lowers temps by like 5c.
Also if anyone knows any MSI Center alternative please tell me, because the MSI center is just laggy.
Thanks in advance!

Warranty/RMA query

I have an MSI laptop that is still under its 2 year warranty from the date of purchase. I previously filed a warranty claim a few months ago, and the website indicates my warranty is still active. Currently, my laptop has accidental screen damage, booting issues, a broken trackpad, and other problems. Will I still be eligible to make another warranty claim?

Leaving Laptop plugged in.
So I am student studying Game development and use my MSI laptop a lot to create things on programs such as Blender or edit video on Capcut.
I notice that if I create a big project and then render/port the file while the laptop is plugged in, the fans in the laptop become really loud (sounds like its about to take off to fly😂).
Is this normal or should I unplug my laptop when rendering a big file (or does it not matter at all)?

Norse Myth buying options?
Been wanting the Norse Myth edition Titan 18 ever since it was revealed and after coming into some money I decided I intend to buy the 5090 Norse Myth edition.
Problem is deciding where to buy it from
I was hoping to buy it from Best Buy as a total member for the 2 year protection but it’s currently sold out direct from Best Buy. They had it in stock as recently as early last week but is now listed as sold out. I wonder how likely they are to restock it, would anyone have insight into that?
My other option is to order off the MSI website where they have a free intel software offer or I was considering from ExcaliberPC where they it $100 off atm.
I’m just so accustomed to ordering all my tech gear via Best Buy that I’m a little nervous ordering such a pricey item anywhere else. I wonder what the likely hood of Best Buy restocking is considering it’s a limited edition item.

MSI Raider A18 HX (9955HX3D + RTX 5090) vs Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 (Ultra 9 275HX + RTX 5090)
https://strawpoll.com/NMnQNe8XWg6 I'm torn between these 2 laptops. I don't really care about portability or the battery (but I still need a laptop). Here are the main specs and prices (also keep in mind that prices in Europe are much higher than in America). I'd like to know if any of you guys have the same model and if you've had any issues. I know that MSI has had many quality issues with the hinges, but I don't know if they've fixed the issue or if it only happens with the less expensive laptops.
MSI Raider A18 HX - 3599€ (\~$4172) CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 RAM: 64 GB DDR5-5600 (2×32 GB) Storage: 2 TB NVMe PCIe Gen5 SSD Display: 18" 3840×2400 (UHD+), Mini-LED, 120 Hz, IPS-level, VESA DisplayHDR 1000, 100% DCI-P3, matte Networking: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 2.5 GbE LAN Other: Per-key RGB keyboard, IR FHD webcam, fingerprint reader, 99.9 Wh battery, 400 W PSU, Windows 11 Home included Weight: \~3.6 kg Warranty: 3 years
VS
Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 (16", Intel) – 3407,22€ (\~$3.948) CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 RAM: 32 GB DDR5-6400 (2×16 GB) Storage: 2 TB NVMe PCIe Gen5 SSD Display: 16" 2560×1600 (WQXGA) OLED, 240 Hz, HDR 1000 True Black, 100% DCI-P3, \~500 nits, glossy Networking: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 Other: Per-key RGB keyboard, 5 MP webcam, 99.9 Wh battery, 400 W PSU, no OS included (it doesn't really matter though) Warranty: 3 years pickup/return
My main concern with the Lenovo is that I'd have to "babysit" OLED display by turning off the windows taskbar, changing wallpapers, desktop icons, brightness, etc. I know that Lenovo includes some measures, but still, the risk is always there.
My main issue with the MSI is that it appears to have a worse build quality and general chassis. I'm also much less fond of the design, as it's kind of tacky. Another concerning issue is that it doesn't have gsync.
I also wonder if it's worth having an 18'' 4k display over a 16'' 1600p, is it that much better? I'm coming from a 15,6" 1080p laptop, so the difference will be massive. It also has Mini-LED, although apparently it's not very good.
Performance-wise, the 9955HX3D should be better, especially for CPU-bound games, although the Lenovo seems to be the best when it comes to performance (apparently there's some evidence that they shunt modded the gpu). Another thing to notice is that the MSI has 64gb but with slower speed (5600 vs 6400), and the extra 32gb will very likely go unused for gaming.
What would you do? Thank you guys in advance.

I was wondering if anyone has used the llano v12 cooler with an MSI Vector 16 HX, I was wondering if it was helpful for temps. I wasn’t sure due to the uneven bottom side of the laptop if it could create a good seal with the foam barrier or if it blocks too many vents/doesn’t create a seal?
