Will my USB C port use my actual graphics card for the PSVR 2, instead of the integrated graphics like my hdmi port does?

Looking to upgrade RAM — help!
First of all, thank you to everyone for the help. I know only a little so I’m really appreciative.
I picked up a Vector A16 A8WHG-004US
This model only has 16GB of DDR5 and I want to get it to 32.
Can anyone point me to a good quality kit that will get me there? Am I buying 2 sticks of ram? 1? Combining with what’s already in there?
I’m scared and nervous, but excited. I haven’t worked on computer hardware in 20+ years but think I am capable of doing this.
Thank you for any reply, I appreciate people taking the time 🙏

MSI Thin 15 B12UC - Can't get it to use the Nvidia GPU by default
I just bought an MSI Thin 15 B12UC, after some hiccups installing Windows 11, I have it up and running, but I have this problem: It uses the IGPU by default, leaving the Nvidia 3050 sitting unused. I have tried a few workarounds I found here and there, such as uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for both the IGPU and DGPU, but nothing seems to work. I found I can assign apps and programs to a specific GPU, but that is not optimal. What I want is to use the DGPU by default. I thought about disabling the Intel IGPU in BIOS altogether (if it can be done)... has anyone gone that route? Any other tips?
Thanks.

While Watching YouTube on Linux (17W)
Hi everyone,
I’m not sure if this is the right forum to ask, but I figured I’d start here since I’m using an MSI laptop. Please let me know if this belongs somewhere else.
I’m running Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie) with GNOME 48 on Wayland on my MSI Stealth 16Studio A13VG. When watching YouTube, my battery draw sits around 17W, which feels a bit high for simple video playback.
System details:
CPU: 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-13620H (16 threads)
GPU: Intel® Graphics (RPL-P)
RAM: 32 GB
Disk: 1 TB SSD
Kernel: Linux 6.12.57+deb13-amd64
What I’ve already tried:
Enabled video hardware acceleration in the browser
Installed and configured TLP, powertop, and auto-cpufreq
Still seeing \~17W draw during YouTube playback
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences from others with MSI laptops. Do you think this is normal for this hardware, or are there tweaks I might be missing?
Thanks a lot, and apologies if this isn’t the right place to ask!

MSI KATANA 15 B12VGK WATCHDOG VIOLATION 0x133
Hello!
I’m dealing with a strange issue on my MSI Katana 15 B12VGK. About a year ago I started getting blue screens while playing games like Zenless Zone Zero or Genshin Impact. At a random moment the game freezes on one frame, and after 2–3 minutes the laptop crashes and shows a blue screen with the error “DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION 0x133.”
This only happened in those two games, so I assumed it was an optimization issue. I could play games like The Witcher 3 or Cyberpunk 2077 without problems.
Recently I decided to finally fix the issue. I contacted the support teams for the games and MSI. I tried the following:
• Reinstalling drivers
• Installing the stable drivers from MSI’s website (this actually made the BSODs more frequent)
• Cleaning and repasting the laptop
• Installing new RAM
• Updating the BIOS
• Turning on discrete GPU mode in MSI Center
• Setting maximum performance for the GPU in the Nvidia Control Panel
Nothing helped. So I decided to try using AI for advice (not the best idea, but I was desperate). It suggested disabling C-states in the BIOS and turning off ASPM. It also claimed that my SSD (Micron 2400) was too slow and unstable, and that giving it more power might help.
These changes helped a little, but didn’t solve the problem. I still get freezes, but now without BSODs — instead, the laptop just reboots after freezing for about two minutes. The freezes also happen less often now. However, recently the same issue appeared in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, so it’s clearly not limited to just two games.
I don’t have the budget to buy a new SSD right now, especially since I’m not sure it will fix the issue.
I’m including a Google Drive link with my system information, two GPU-Z logs (one before following the AI advice, one after), Windows minidump files, and WhoCrashed reports: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1eGRRIp5uHuvAwUhqhhKSjCGY5DdSu6CO?usp=sharing
Thank you for any help.

MSI GP66 Leopard (RTX 3070) is 100% undetected after a sudden crash—Need advice before I give up!

Laptop MSI GP66 Leopard 11UG
260CN-BB71180H16GXXDX10CH
Problem: GPU (rtx3070) not detected in the laptop
I'm desperate for some insight on my MSI GP66 Leopard 11UG, as the dedicated RTX 3070 GPU has completely disappeared. I was using it heavily for a game one night when it suddenly shut down, and I couldn't power it back on for 5-10 minutes. Now, a day later, the RTX 3070 is not showing up anywhere—not in Device Manager, MSI Center, or even the BIOS. I have tried everything possible on the software side : I've messed with drivers, tried specific versions from the MSI website, and even completely formatted the whole PC and reinstalled the OS. The NVIDIA installer just says, 'This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware'. This started after the hard crash under heavy load, making me think it got burnt. Since I messed with the drivers previously while trying to set up CUDA, is there any chance this is a complex software/BIOS lock I missed, or am I definitely looking at a motherboard/GPU hardware failure? Any help from the community, especially anyone familiar with this MSI model's common failures, would be greatly appreciated!

MSI laptop drain more battery with built-in speakers than Bluetooth
Hey folks,
I noticed something strange with my MSI laptop while watching YouTube. When I use the built-in speakers, the battery draw can go up to around 17W, but when I connect a Bluetooth speaker, it drops as low as 12W.
I always thought Bluetooth would use more power since it’s wireless, but apparently the opposite happens here. Does anyone know why the laptop’s internal speakers consume so much more power compared to sending audio over Bluetooth?
Thanks.

Vector 16 HX AI - Thunderbolt ports don't recognize my second monitor
I recently purchased a new laptop, it's a Vector 16 HX AI with an Intel Ultra 9 275 HX and RTX 5070. On my old Lenovo Legion I used to be able to connect 2 monitors - 1 using an HDMI cable and that monitor would then be powered by an external source, while the second monitor would be connected to the USB C port which would then both power it and send a video signal. I'm now trying to replicate this on my new laptop, however i keep getting an error message. In the device manager it says ''Unknown USB Device (port reset failed). I've tried many solutions, but can't seem to get it to work. What's the fix that I'm missing?

My laptop won't turn on.
Hi everyone, I have a problem with my MSI Raider GE78HX 13V laptop. I did some maintenance today—just cleaning it, which I've done before. I made sure to put everything back in its place and connect everything, but now I can't turn it on. The power button stays lit red and a fan turns on, but the screen doesn't display anything, and it seems the keys aren't working either, since the Caps Lock key doesn't light up when I press it.
