Thermal paste for MSI thin gf63 12ve-292it

Hi, I need some advice on which thermal paste to buy for my PC. From Amazon, if possible, because I'll be ordering it from there. Mine is a MSI thin gf63 12ve-292it. My PC has been overheating and shutting down for a while now, making an unignorable fan noise. Besides that, can you tell me approximately how often it needs to be replaced? I use it practically every day for gaming. I bought it two years ago. I'm leaving some specifications below that I think might help, thanks :)

CPU/Processor
i7-12650H

Graphics
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 4050, 6GB GDDR6

STORAGE CAPABILITY
512GB1 NVMe SSD PCIe Gen4

Memory

GPU Clock Lock

MSI GE76 Raider.

GPU is registering abnormally high power usage. This is causing the core clock to be locked at 210mhz. I can overclock it to around 700mhz, about half the 3080 should be.

Reinstalled drivers/bios. Took it to a repair shop, they said everything is testing normal so the GPU is failing and needs a new motherboard. Anyone know how to fix this? Purchased in 2021.

What thermal paste do you use?

Curious to know what thermal paste /putty you use, and which you would recommend.

I'm new to this stuff and so confused on what to use. I own an MSI GE66 raider and it has so many thermal issues. Changed its thermal paste a while back and it's somehow already dried out (it hasn't been 5 months even). As of now my laptop heats up so bad, CPU heating to the shut off point and GPU resting at 70° (when gaming ie gta 5).I tweaked some throttlestop settings and it failed, which made me understand it's thermal paste, and since I bought one a while back (and it's clearly ineffective, I want to know what y'all use.

Thanks

Fans not going silent after Windows update KB5072033

I updated Windows 11 24H2 for my GF63 Thin 11UC yesterday after putting off updates for a while, and I'm offput by how the fans aren't behaving like they used to. They would initially ramp up under light loads, like browsing, watching videos, switching windows, or idling, and Silent mode spins at \~2200rpm, unlike how it used to, let alone the fact the automatic fan speed doesn't wind down to complete silence anymore.

I've installed the 2.0.48.0 version of MSI Centre and adjusted the Minimum/Maximum Processor States to fix the fan ramp up issues, but the fact the fans don't wind down to complete silence when doing light tasks is bothersome and I'm looking for a solution.

Will they try to void my warranty?

Hi, my laptop is missing a back panel screw and a rubber pad, and I want to repair some problems it has under the waranty cover: dead pixel, strange yellowish light on the edge of the screen and some squeaky coming sound like some fan that's being obstructed. I haven't tried to repair it once or do something that might void my warranty but I have seen that I'm missing a back panel screw and a rubber pad, is this a valid reason to void my waranty? I carry my laptop everyday hence the missing screw and rubber pad.

Best laptop for gaming

Hey yall, I currently have a MSI GE76 Raider that has an issue with its board needing a new power pin (or something like that). The shop I go to hasn't been able to find a replacement part and its a thousand usd to replace the whole board. I've had the laptop for a bit so was thinking of just upgrading.

I pretty much only use my laptop for gaming and would install windows 10 once i get it (hate u 11). I've seen online that the titan series is supposed to be good. Does anyone have experience or reccomendations for a msi laptop they like. Budget is flexible but was hoping with lots of storage I could get a beast within $4,000.

Cheers

Question about cool down time.

I have an MSI gf65 thin i5 10eu I repasted for the first time in my life with mx 6 last night. Anyway idel temps seem very much improved (31-35c) and the graphics aren't switching anymore. But it'll go from 65-70c while gaming then when I'm done it'll die down to high 40s then it takes literally forever to go back to low 30s. I'm afraid I didn't use enough paste because I was scared to use to much. Is it normal to take forever to drop from high 40s to low 30s after a session? I've never had a laptop only desktops so I'm new to all this.

MSI Thin 15 problems

(sorry if this is disorganized, I'm trying to get this working as soon as possible)

Just got an MSI Thin 15 from costco for just over $1k. I should've done more research, but it was the only gaming laptop there within my budget and my parents wouldn't have gotten me anything more expensive.

I'm shocked how bad the performance is. It has an RTX 4050, 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and an Intel core 5 210H. My older MSI laptop had a core i5 1235u, and it ran games smoother than the Thin 15. When I'm playing graphically intense games, the framerate is very inconsistent(goes from 100+ fps to 40-13). Even when I'm playing The Strongest Battlegrounds on roblox, probably the easiest game to run, it still lags and the framerate drops. It freezes sometimes too, and some apps crash at random times.

I've tried a lot of stuff, but I eventually gave up and asked AI. It said that my CPU did better with single thread stuff and the games I play are meant to be multi threaded stuff. But what doesn't make sense to me is that, my old laptop's CPU is worse than my current laptop's CPU, so how are my frames so inconsistent? I figured it would run better than the other laptop I had right before getting my Thin 15, an Acer Aspire 15(Ryzen 5 7000 CPU, 32 GB RAM), which got over 100+ fps on games like fortnite on low graphics, while being consistent about it.

I'm 99% sure that I won't be able to return it and get a new one, since I just got this one a week ago after getting rid of the Aspire 15. What do I do about this? From what I'm understanding about all this, the performance for this laptop as a whole shouldn't be this bad, so why is it? What can I do to make it better?

Cyborg 15 thermal paste/pads

I wanted to repaste my laptop(cyborg 15 a13vf) and noticed it seems to have pink pads on most components instead of paste. Am I correct in assuming it'd not be the best idea to use thermal paste instead?
Thanks, any tips appreciated.

What thermal paste do you use (follow up)

I just bought the PTM 7950 as suggested by the comments in my previous post (check my profile for reference) and had my laptop repasted, I'm soo glad, the temps stick to 60°C.

I'd like to thank everyone who dropped their advice in my post and recommended it, to anyone else looking for a thermal paste, definitely suggest the PTM 7950. It truly works wonders and is legit

Fr thanks everyone. A happy gamer here😁😁
