Upgrading SSD on MSI G75 Thin 10UEK

If I understand correctly, I have a m.2 SSD slot (which has the factory 500gb SSD) and an empty SATA 2.5 slot where I can put in a new SSD. Are there any highly recommended 2.5 SSDs? How would the more experienced go about upgrading SSD?

My laptops fans started very wierd vibrating / squeaking noises

Title, i was playing games then all of a sudden it started making this very weird and loud noise, so I did some research and figured my fan was dying. I have some questions, how long before it completely dies (i use my laptop quite often)? And also if i continue to use this for say the next couple month without replacing the fans, is that safe? Thanks.

MSI Sword 15A12UE Thermal Throttling Problems

Hey y'all-

I've had my Sword for nearly three years at this point, and almost the entire time, overheating and thermal throttling have been very prominent issues with the laptop. As I write this, my CPU is at about 65-70 °C. Whenever I play *any* game, it will shoot up to nearly 100 °C, averaging about 96-97 °C. I assume that is the thermal throttling point, as I have very stuttery frames and significant FPS drops. I can't even achieve 144 °C in most 3D games.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I reapplied thermal paste last summer and plan to do so in a few days when I'm home from break. Is it possible to underclock the CPU? I never have issues with GPU temperatures, so I want to balance the CPU and ensure it runs as efficiently as possible. I keep my fan speeds on max whenever I play any game. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I would like to not speedrun CPU failure.

Alpha17 GPU 1 temp reporting weird spiking

I've been having issues with the laptop's graphics system crashing, leaving me for several seconds in the black screen before it recovers. I had initially thought the problem was related to memory leaks in the browser, but today it called that into question by repeatedly crashing whether I was streaming videos in the browser (the previously blamed behavior) or not. Not knowing what else to do, I pulled up Afterburner to just watch the graphs for a bit, and saw the temp on GPU 1 spike to an obviously bad value of 50907128 C*. I noticed that at the same time, the GPU 1 memory temp dropped to 0. When the GPU 1 temp comes down, the memory starts reporting properly.

Any thoughts?

This is my MSI Laptop battery Capacity after 19 months, is it normal?

I mostly use my laptop on plugged in, 3–4 times I played game on battery not more than that, and I also set my battery charging limit to 80% since bought, and charged to 100% sometime, and using battery rarely like it goes to 60–70 sometime not lower than that.

Upgrading my MSI GL62 6QF

Hello I would like some help on how to upgrade my laptop. I use it for work but lately it has become very slow with high memory usage. Any suggestions? Should I add an SSD? And if so which one? Do I install it where the CD reader is?

Any Recommendations for Hubs to Use for MSIs?

I'm looking for something that will allow me to add a few monitors to my MSI. I was thinking about some of those screens you can attach directly to the laptop but I think there is an issue with mine only having 1 USB-C port so a triple screen would need power to the 3rd screen.

Anyway, any suggestions my MSI Reddit Family?

Starlit certified refurbished

The Product is damaged due to alterations, changes, modifications, repair, or other services performed by a third party that is not authorized by MSI;

Does this mean I can’t upgrade ram or storage? The representative on the phone will told me yes I could change those without voiding my warranty. I know changing the display but just the storage and ram?
