Vbios flashing

I was wondering if anyone had information on vbios swapping an 5070ti MSI Stealth A16 AI+ A3XWHG-207US.

I found a 140w vbios from the msi vector but it was still being limited to 90-105w all while being below 70c.

Any help is appreciated.

Asking for help with MSI 16 HX AI A2XWIG Laptop - Fan curves and underclocking

Hi all. Just bought the MSI HX AI laptop, upgrading from my old Leopard 8RE. I got the model with Ultra 9 processor and 5080 grapics card. Love the laptop but really dislike the fan noise and behaviour. My laptop will essentially be idling aroung high 30s to low/mid 40s and the fan keeps flaring up and is really quite loud even at that level. (yes cooler boost and AI mode are both off). Still setting it up so havent even had a chance to put any games on... Im dreading what sounds will come out of it then. I was told before buying it that there were ways to get the fans under control via custon fan curves and possibly undervolting... but now that I actually have the laptop it seems like its not possible at least through the MSI Center. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of raw performance to have a more civilised experience but after some days of research Im at a loss. Ive looked through so many forums, Youtube videos and even AI and just keep finding contradicting, old or irrelevant information. At ths point, I just have no idea what to do. It seems like in the past there were many more official options that have been removed. Im ready/willing to take unnoficial steps but really need some advice on where to go with this. If any of you with knowledge and experience would point me in the right direction.... i would be so grateful.

My laptop is fix, hoorayy

Hey, you may know me from the post that asked about my MSI Thin 15 that keep restarting. Yep, the SSD is corrupted. Send it to the repair shop if you not confident enough to repair it yourself, which luckily i didnt need to pay for anything (Bless the guy who repaired my laptop for free) which also the fact im still an Uni student, he probably help me because of that. One thing for sure, be prepared to get your laptop format and pay for the SSD if it need to be replace which in my country price is like RM600? I hope, my post reach to other people too who have the same problems like i did.

What would last longer

First ever laptop my schools is giving use the option from getting a Lenovo legion 7i 32gbs of ram and a 5070 or a msi vector 16gb of ram and a 5080 witch one would be a reliable college laptop this isn’t my main gaming setup but will use for rending and engineering work if you had to choose one with unbiased opinions witch would you pick price doesn’t matter since both are free (would like to last as long as possible)

Need donor laptop with good motherboard

Need help

So for the past couple months my computer has been having crashes under “Kernel Trap” and “System Exception Not Handled” and I dug around looking for everything, all these crashes are random and infuriating.

RAM is fine and things, performed a scan and something chkdsk (I’m a complete noob to anything computers and just following what I could online)

I run perfmon/report and get that Intel RST VMD Managaed Controller is in a not ok-status so I look at it in device manager and it’s not installed at all or something (I checked BIOS and it says it IS enabled though)

So I go to my specific models(Vector 16 HX A13VHG) website page to try and download the Intel RST’S there and have no idea how to go about it and I don’t think it’ll help my problem since one option I think I have to reinstall windows… I even tried downloading an older Intel RST and I did nothing and I’m lost.

Uhm any help would be awesome before I turn to a computer store or whatever, thank you very much! \^\^

MSI Bios is trying to break me and take my will to live

I bought new laptop and installed Windows 11. Something went wrong so it always boot Efi Shell first and Win11 after typing '"exit".
Boot order was correct (Efi Shell wasn't even an option on that list)

After a year I tried entering Bios to try figure out that stupid Efi Shell.
Didn't change any settings, just disabled and enabled Win11 boot.

Now it doesn't want to turn on Win11 at all. I tried messing with secure boot, admin passwords, security options, fast boot. I pressed reset pin and tried other methods from internet. Btw my bios date is now 2 years behind and I cannot save changes.

I honestly doesn't know what to do. I just wanted to stop typing exit every time I turn on my laptop.

So I've been looking to buy an MSI Prestige 14 AI, and I'm looking at this Ultra 5 125H model with the RTX 3050 combo. However, I'm not sure about the battery life, as some say it's around 6 hours while towers say it's 10. Does anyone have experience with this spec? Thanks!

Laptop not turning on - at my wits end

MSI Cyborg 15 A12U - Windows 11

Hiya, I'm kinda desperate after my laptop stopped working the other day.

So I noticed the night before this happened that I tried to turn it on but only the orange light would turn on on the power button and it didn't actually turn on. Pressed the button to turn it off and on again and it worked perfectly. Shut it down after using it for the night and then tried to turn it on again the next morning.

The power button lit up, the keyboard would come on, the fan would start. Then it all turns off. Then does it all again. Then off. And on again etc. The screen stays black throughout. The only way to get it to stop the cycle is holding the power button for 15.

Here's everything I've tried:

Holding down the power button for 60 sec

Doing the above while plugged in, unplugged, unplugged then plugged back in etc.

Changed plug sockets

Disconnected battery

Tried just 1 ram stick, tried swapping ram sticks placement

Unplugged CMOS battery

Nothing worked. I know I should probably take it to a repair shop but money is very tight at the moment and I need the laptop for my photography.

I am thinking it might be an issue with the graphics cards as my graphics have been playing up recently, black screens, needing to restart card etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🥺
