New to gaming laptop
Hello I just got a MSI 17 Katana B13V (only thing i could afford that was available ) and I’m relatively new to laptop gaming and have multiple questions:
Does changing the battery management to “Best for battery” actually work since i want this laptop to last me at least for 5 years and ps its always plugged in my desk.
I have 1 TB but only 400Gb available how does that work and is there any way to get more storage
Are laptop coolers a good investment
What to do and what not to do for laptops

What controller should I get?
I've been hoping to play some games like Detroit become human and Lollipop Chainsaw on my laptop, but playing with the keyboard is actually hell.
Is there a controller i should get that'd work with a usb? Preferably something on the cheaper side if possible.
I have an MSI 13th Gen if it helps.
Thank you <3

Have you been able to actually prevent cpu thermal throttling after repasting your laptops with ptm7950?
In your experience of using ptm7950 sheet so far, have you been totally able to avoid cpu thermal throttling when playing modern intensive games (such as Spider-man 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Tlous 2, Alan Wake 2 or similar)?
I mean, have you succeeded in keeping cpu max temps in your laptop below a certain range (e.g. 80-82 C) all the time and with all intensive games even when playing for hours continuously? Or have your cpu max temps reached anyway high levels such as 90-92 C or more, thus pushing your cpu to thermal throttle despite using ptm7950?
Please note, I am not talking about “average” temps but “max” temps, and with cpu turbo boost always enabled on “aggressive” mode. And has your ptm7950 repasting succeeded in avoiding cpu thermal throttling without the need of keeping fans speed at 100% all the time? Measuring temps and thermal throttling with Hwinfo or similar program. Thanks

Problem with League of Legends on my MSI PULSE 16 AI C1VGKG
Hi, I'm reaching out because for the past few days I haven't been able to get into the game after champion select, even though everything was working fine before.
Basically, the screen goes black, a blue circle starts spinning, and then a few seconds later the game crashes, opens a login window, and so on when I click on it.
I've tried almost everything, but I don't understand where the problem is coming from (resetting my PC, uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics card drivers, reinstalling the game/Vanguard, launching the game with minimum performance settings, etc.), but none of this has worked.
If anyone is experiencing a similar problem or has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.

Output device not detected after dusting out my laptop.
Yesterday i had to dust out my laptop which involved opening it. After doing so and rebooting no sound device is detected. Everything works except the sound. My laptop is Cyborg 15 A13VF.
Do i need to change the sound chip or is it just a driver issue?
If drivers are an issue i would appreciate download links.

Is flashing my MSI Cyborg VBois worth it?
I have MSI Cyborg 15 A13VF , with RTX 4060 that has 45w of power only, I tried using the VBios of an HP laptop that has 75W of power, the laptop's performance has improved significantly. In 3DMark, the GPU score was around 7000, and after using HP VBios, the GPU score became around 9000, but I left it and went back to the original VBios because the GPU temperature was getting too high and the battery was draining even when plugged in. Now, I come back to try it again, but cautiously. I have some questions for people who done this or have experience with it:
1- Is there another way to control the GPU power? You can't change the power from MSI Afterburner, I want to set the power to 60w or 55w
2- do you think it's worth the effort? I get about 20% boost performance from 75w VBois
3- can a 180W charger be used with the laptop? I didn't find anyone taking about that, and when asking ChatGPT it said it can't, but when I ask Gemini it said it can
I would be grateful for any assistance you can provide

Advice on new laptop
So I just ordered the MSI Vector 16 HX AI A2XW (intel 7 ultra and 5070ti) and was wondering if anyone faced any issues with it.
I also heard some say that the screen colors are bad/washed. Is that true ? I got the one with 2k screen and 240hz is it also as bad as the FHD one colour wise ?
Also, when it comes to cooling. Is it true that it has liquide metal? (I hope not lol)

is gf63 thin laptop GPU heat to 95 is a worrying sign?
I have been to a laptop selling agency saying that 95C is that max temp of GPU that should not exceed
the worker said unless its under 100C there is no issue
keep in mind am at hot region, so heating is much faster, but after investigation
I came to the conclusion that below 80C is the ideal temp, so I need some clarification on that statement
