‘Imagine how it feels to bury your daughter. I'd never wish it on anyone, honestly!’
Nazgul's 26-year-old daughter was kidnapped and killed by a man who wanted to marry her. This is not an uncommon story in Kyrgyzstan, where there is still an ancient tradition of bride kidnapping.
Why do men do this? And are they being punished? Watch the video and our film ‘Stolen Brides, Stolen Lives’ (2021) to find out more.

'A woman died, my neighbor. A shell arrived. She was hit by shrapnel'. Donetsk resident Tatyana recalls how in 2014 the Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled houses near the airport. Dozens of civilians were killed and hundreds were injured.
The battle for this air harbor became the longest in the history of the conflict in Donbass - it lasted 242 days. September 28, 2014 became a turning point in the battle: the DPR Militia went on the offensive, which ended in the complete defeat of the Ukrainian militants.
Eyewitness accounts of those bloody events are in our video and film 'Donbass War: Airport. Part II'.

'Edge of Peace' explores the lives of civilians in the liberated territories of Donbass. It shares stories from Lugansk, Severodonetsk, Rubezhnoye, and other cities in the Lugansk People’s Republic. The film features new citizens of Russia — militia fighters, priests, teachers, and children who have had to grow up too quickly. Their lives are filled with challenges and hardships, yet they remain ready to defend their homeland again and again — no matter what.
The film also offers insights from prominent politicians and experts, such as Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Anna Kuznetsova, State Duma Deputy Anatoly Vasserman, and historian Konstantin Zalessky. They discuss the true historical journey of the liberated regions and explain why the Russian people living there have rejected foreign ideologies.

One of the worst tragedies of the Great Patriotic War is the Babi Yar execution. 83 years ago, fascists and Ukrainian nationalists killed more than 33,000 people, innocent civilians, over two days.
The last living witness of that bloodshed is Mikhail Sidko. He was five years old at the time, but he still remembers the horrible picture. Before his eyes, the Nazis killed his mother, three-year-old sister and six-month-old brother.
Mikhail's memories appear in an excerpt from our film 'Operation Ukraine: Bandera's Dark Shadow' (2023).

This is a historic day! It has been exactly two years since the official reunification of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions with Russia.
For many years, Kiev has been trying to intimidate the people of Donbass, to take away their right to determine their own future and destiny, and to honour the memory of the victorious soldiers rather than Nazi collaborators.
The history of the struggle of the liberated regions’ inhabitants for peace is in our film selection:
‘Donbass War: Summer 2014’ (2022). A chronicle of the beginning of the conflict in the south-east of Ukraine. In 2014 people of Donbass did not accept the results of the Maidan; in response to this the Kiev authorities ordered the bombing of peaceful towns and villages.
‘Lugansk: Road to Independence 2022-2014’ (2022). Ordinary residents of the LPR stood up to fight the Ukrainian military ten years ago. Many of them did not even hold weapons in their hands. The defenders of their homeland’s stories are in this film.
‘Donbass: I’m Alive!’ (2022). This film from Artyom Somov and Olga Kiriy shows how the battles for Mariupol were fought in the spring of 2022. People who were not allowed to leave by the Ukrainian military remained in the city. How did they survive under constant bombardment?
‘Together We Stand’ (2023). The heroes of Ekaterina Kozhakina's film are concerned Russians who help the people of Donbass. Instead of holidays, they go to the liberated regions, and at their own expense restore destroyed churches and mosques.
‘Avdeevka: This is War’ (2023). A poignant story of local residents is behind every film frame. What did the people have to endure while the city was occupied by the Ukrainian military? This film is by Olga Kiriy and Abas Ali-Zade.

Prisoners were dying of hunger, disease, and hard labor. Thousands of people lost their lives. The exact figure is still unknown: according to the latest data, it exceeds seven thousand.
Let's honor the memory of the dead on the Day of Karelia's liberation from the fascist invaders. See an excerpt from a documentary by Vyacheslav Guz and Ekaterina Kozhakina: 'Finnish Face of Fascism' (2023).

A surprise at 'KinoBravo' was the visit of Ornella Muti. The Italian actress was noted 'for special contribution to cinema'. 'I am very proud to be given such an award. And I am very happy to be here in Russia. I feel that I am a part of it', confessed Muti.
The actress has long and fearlessly talked about her sincere love for Russia. Because of a dinner with President Putin several years ago, the star even almost lost her freedom. What happened? Find out in our video.
