The Autonomous Vision Group at the MPI for Intelligent Systems in Tuebingen has 2 vacant positions for
PhD internships in 2018. We have a successful tradition of PhD interns who work with us for 6 months
towards a research paper. Travel & living support will be provided through a stipend. The ideal
candidate is 1-3 years into her/his PhD and has published a publication in a good CV or ML conference,
but we consider also other candidates.
Possible topics include deep learning for 3D vision, 3D reconstruction with active sensors, material
and light estimation or vision for intelligent systems. Here are a few examples of our past intern

The Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence group at Tilburg University is looking for an enthusiastic colleague for a PhD position on the project VIBE (Virtual Humans in the Brabant Economy). This project aims to build conversational embodied agents that operate in virtual, mixed and augmented reality environments. These agents will be specifically deployed in healthcare settings. The €7 million four-year project has been funded by the European Union, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the province of Noord-Brabant and the city of Tilburg and includes 13 partners, including Tilburg University, universities of applied sciences, several technology firms, as well as the Netherlands Aerospace Center. On this ambitious project Tilburg University will hire four PhD candidates in dialogue management; speech recognition & speech synthesis; computational linguistics & machine learning; and recognizing & synthesizing non-verbal communication (https://www.academictransfer.com/employer/UVT/vacancy/43388/lang/en/)
The PhD candidate holds a (research) master in a relevant area (computer science, computational linguistics, cognitive science, artificial intelligence) and is expected to have an academic mindset with an entrepreneurial interest, is supposed to be enthusiastic, creative, and solution-driven. The candidate is comfortable with working in a multidisciplinary research team, has an excellent command of English, and good professional communication skills.

اساتید پیش قراولان عرصه اندیشه ،تفکر و فرهنگ سازی هستند . جامعه ای روی سعادت و پیشرفت به خود ندیده است مگر آنکه تغییرات در آن جامعه از بطن دانشگاه ،شروع شده است . چه شایسته است اساتید بزرگوار دانشگاه تبریز ،در ایامی که هوا بشدت آلوده است و جان و سلامتی همشهریانمان را به خطر انداخته است و باتوجه به وجود و تردد تعداد کثیری از خودروها در محوطه دانشگاه تبریز ، و علوم پزشکی که حجم زیادی آلودگی تولید میکنند . در این ایام سال از تردد با وسیله شخصی خودداری کنند .لذا از شما استاد فرهیخته و گرانقدر درخواست داریم در جهت فرهنگ سازی و احترام به سلامت شهروندان ،فردا از تردد با وسیله شخصی خود داری و با استفاده از وسائل نقلیه عمومی یا با پای پیاده یا با دوچرخه در دانشگاه حاضر گردید.
