The Queen has triggered the Platinum Jubilee beacon lighting from Windsor Castle while Prince William represented her outside Buckingham Palace to see the principal beacon Tree of Trees light up.
They are one of the thousands of beacons that were lit across the UK and overseas to mark the monarch's 70 years on the throne. Report by Louis Etemadi.
