On this day in 1833, Jackson removed all federal funds from the Second Bank of the U.S., redistributing them to various state banks, which were popularly known as “pet banks.” In addition, he announced that deposits to the bank would not be accepted after October 1. Finally, Jackson had succeeded in destroying the bank; its charter officially expired in 1836.
Jackson did not emerge unscathed from the scandal. In 1834, Congress censured Jackson for what they viewed as his abuse of presidential power during the Bank War.

I’ve received a few comments… “I went back & watched the Inauguration, I hear 21 rounds not 13.”

First, the “Inauguration” was staged and pre-recorded. The CBS coverage version uses 13 rounds. The audio was cut very low, with tricky camera work not focusing on artillery the whole time to watch the count so you have to have keen ears to hear.

However, and second, like Chess, there’s multiple ways to pin this.

The 21 gun salute & 13 rounds fired doesn’t give away the clue of a Military Funeral…

It’s the 3 Volley Salute, 3 piece artillery and the Honors March 1 music.

EVEN if it were 21 on another Network = 21 gun salutes are for Presidents, Former Presidents, President Elects, Heads of Government, & Reigning Monarchs.

D.C. = British = Monarchy = ByeBye.
