It’s with a great deal of sorrow I announce the loss of a my 2nd cousin from Baton Rouge, LA Wade Welborn https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/central-la/wade-welborn-10928102 It was such a shock to receive the text message from my cousin in Dallas a couple of days ago. I’ve only spoke about it to a couple of close friends and today will be contacting Wade’s Son – Blake who is a fine Police Officer for the East Baton Rouge PD. It was just this past summer that Wade’s dad – Uncle John passed away. He was a couple of years older than me but I’ll always remember throwing pears at him from high up in Grandma’s pear tree back in the 60’s and how proud I was that he was the Commander of the Central Sub Station, EBR Sheriff as a long time Captain and outstanding Law Enforcement Professional. Prayers for his mother Aunt Anna Maye as I know it is a very trying time for her loosing two sons and her lifelong husband all in a year’s time.
