A sudden and unexpected act of kindness can make anyone’s day. One recent Saturday afternoon, Volusia County Sheriff’s Department Officer Cameron Tucker and his wife, Justine, were eating an early dinner at the Zaxby’s restaurant in Deland, Florida. It was just a regular day and a regular dinner, until a young man approached the couple.
That young man was named Juan, who is an African American college student. He asked the police officer if he could pray over him, to keep him protected. Cameron and his wife were surprised by this, but certainly accepting of the young man’s offer.
With that, Juan put his hand on Cameron’s shoulder and prayed for his safety in his dangerous profession.
Justine posted about it on her Facebook page, saying: “After crying my eyes out, we got to have an amazing conversation with this gentleman. He was on fire for God and you could feel His presence in the room. He said that he felt compelled to talk to us and to pray over Cameron.”
Juan plays football at Stetson University right there in Deland and he’s a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. When he was in high school, he graduated with honors. The photo taken of Juan praying over the officer, which was taken by Justine, has been shared more than 25,000 times, with many, many comments.
Juan’s grandmother, Berta O’Neil, was extremely proud of her grandson in doing what he did in that photo. It showed just how powerful a young person’s actions can be. And ever since Juan prayed over Cameron, the two have kept in regular touch.

Good morning my brothers and sisters. May God’s blessings be upon you this day and all you come in contact with. Thank you Father for your grace and mercy. ✝️🙏😊🇺🇸
Good morning, Patriot followers of Christ: 22-Nov-22
First & foremost, I’m grateful to praise God for the blessings He bestows on us each & every day. As everyone may know by now, our sister, Mary… had a very successful medical procedure yesterday and is doing awesome. She sounds great and I’m excited she has this behind in her rearview mirror.
Also, it is with great sincerity to continue to pray for others, Patriot Mimi’s family & all those burdens to be removed from her. She is such a warrior & gives so much of herself daily to help others and I’m praying for her to receive the joyful Spirit of Thanksgiving.
Please don’t forget to ask God for healing of Gwen’s mom who is trying to decide the best thing to do to treat her compression fracture/nerves in her back. She is considering options such as Rehab, Hospital as staying home places her at risk for another fall and having in-house therapy.
Our sister Deb Patriot Christian is on heavy antibiotics from her double pneumonia,
and we are all keeping her in our prayers.
Today I’m filled with a Spirit of Thanksgiving as there are so many things to be grateful for … even with all the suffering and trials that many are going through I thankful for the ability to think clearly as I have been focused on getting the proper amount of rest. I believe God want’s all His servants rested and available when He calls us to reach out and be a blessing to others.
Today’s simple message is something I read regarding the importance of Sleep:
Sleep—God’s Gift of Daily Restoration:
Good sleep is necessary for physical, mental, and emotional health, but many of us have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, and/or getting back to sleep if we wake up at night.
A good night’s sleep starts in the morning with a healthy breakfast, which includes protein and eating healthy meals throughout the day (nutrition experts say every meal should include some protein). Hydration is also important, which means drinking liquids, especially water, during the day. As we age, our ability to absorb the nutrients in our foods decreases. We need to talk with our healthcare provider about whether we should be taking vitamin/mineral supplements.
Vitamin D deficiency can affect sleep, mood, and energy levels. We get Vitamin D from being in the sun, but many people who work long hours inside do not have a chance to be outdoors. People who live in northern climates tend to have Vitamin D deficiencies.”
I love y’all & am very thankful to each of you…especially those who continue to be the “Hands & Feet of Jesus”. Our Admin Team (SLY369, Mary, Gwen, Strmchsr, Patriot Mimi, Area 51, E- Grapes, RaisedAWarrior, Susan Wood, & AZblondie) as well as so many others who reach out to assist others each day.
May the Lord keep and bless each of you today & lastly, I reminded of a quote today: “People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." This is a quote is attributed to but I read it from President Theodore Roosevelt & it’s something I have to remind myself of on a daily basis. In Christ, MajFreddy🇺🇸
