🇸🇾🇷🇺Assad: Syria recognizes Russia's new borders with the annexed regions Damascus recognizes the new borders of Russia with the territories that joined the results of referendums: the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"Of course. I say that these are Russian territories, and even if there was no war, these are historically Russian territories," the Syrian leader said, answering a question about the recognition of the new Russian borders. Syria, Assad recalled, recognized these regions even before they joined Russia.
"This issue is clear to us from the very beginning, and we will not hesitate in our position. Syria's position is clear and at the same time resolute, and we are convinced on this issue, not only for the sake of friendship with Russia, but also because these territories are Russian territories," the Syrian president said.
This position, according to the head of state, is based on historical facts.
"They were transferred to Ukraine, perhaps about 100 years ago, I think in the time of (Vladimir) Lenin. They are inhabited by Russian citizens, and the facts on the ground indicate that this is Russian land. We are convinced of this position," Assad said.

Officials with the Mohave County Sheriff's Office confirm a train derailment has occurred within the Northwestern Arizona county.
According to a brief statement released by Anita Mortensen, the train, which as reportedly carrying hazardous materials, derailed near Milepost 9 of Interstate 40.
Officials say there are no reports of any spills at this time. BNSF, as well as the National Transportation Safety Board, have been notified and are investigating.

Another 2k inmates moved to the new Izalco prison, largest mega-prison in Americas, built to accommodate more than 40k gangsters. Stacked closely together, sitting with his legs on either side of the man in front of them, armed guards in balaclavas look on. The men were led in large groups into their cells, where they are left sitting on the floor before stacked metal beds. Each cell has only two sinks and two toilets, with 80 metal bunks per 100 prisoners, no mattresses. Each one has 32 cells of about 100 square meters (1,075 square feet), designed to hold '100+' inmates. Rights groups have criticised the construction as a violation of incarceration standards.

Humans Are on Track to Achieve Immortality in 7 Years
Futurist Ray Kurzweil is still making waves years after his initial singularity claims as artificial intelligence continues to progress.
With singularity milestones coming, Kurzweil believes immortality is achievable by 2030.
A new video from the YouTube channel Adagio revisits futurist Ray Kurzweil’s ideas about how for humans, both singularity and immortality are shockingly imminent—as in, potentially just seven years away.

Both concepts may take a stretch of reality to attain, but Kurzweil and his supporters are quite limber. The idea of singularity is the moment AI exceeds beyond human control and rapidly transforms society. Predicting this timing is tricky, to say the least.
But Kurzweil says one crucial step on the way to a potential 2045 singularity is the concept of immortality, possibly reached as soon as 2030. And the rapid rise of artificial intelligence is what will make it happen. Kurzweil believes that our technological and medical progress will grow to the point that robotics—he dubs them “nanobots”—will work to repair our bodies at the cellular level, as reported by Lifeboat, turning disease and aging around thanks to the continual work of robotic know-how. And then, voilà: immortality.
Naturally, the promise of immortality by 2030 has believers and critics equally excited and skeptical, repeatedly, of Kurzweil’s bold predictions. Of course, it doesn’t help that humans are experiencing a downward trend in global life expectancy, and leaders in the space are predicting that if this singularity does occur, it will wipe out humans altogether.
