JUST IN — A federal judge has rejected Trump’s claims of executive privilege and has ordered Mark Meadows and other former top aides to testify before a federal grand jury investigating Trump's efforts to overturn the election leading up to January 6, 2021.

Meadows, Trump's former chief of staff, was subpoenaed along with the other former aides by Special counsel Jack Smith for testimony and documents related to the probe. (ABC News)

Bragg, DA investigating Trump, received a threatening letter with white powder
March 24, 2023

The FBI and NYPD are investigating a letter in containing a death threat and white powder that was mailed to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, whose office is investigating former President Donald Trump, law-enforcement sources told NBC News.

The powder was found in the mailroom of the DA’s office at 80 Centre Street, according to the New York Daily News and ABC News.

The envelope was reportedly marked “Alvin”—suggesting it was intended for District Attorney Alvin Bragg—and was opened by someone in the mailroom around 1 p.m., who was not exposed.

The letter read: “ALVIN: I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!” according to NBC News, which reported the FBI is now investigating.

The discovery came three days after a bomb threat shut down the courthouse at 60 Centre Street just as a hearing in a case involving a $250 million civil lawsuit against Trump was set to begin. Authorities said there was no indication the threat was directly related to the Trump case.
