Calamity does not take God by surprise, it is the stroke of God's lash on an unrepentant people. To fix this is not by destroying the wicked men over us, but to repent of our wickedness.
As a Nation WE worshiped Freedom over Morality, WE tolerated wickedness like abortion for convenience, perversion to fulfill our lusts instead of steadfastness in moral fortitude. Love of money instead of love for our fellow man, love of self instead of love of God.
How do we fix this? The answer is not by destroying evil men around us , for there is an unlimited supply of them, but by facing our OWN evil nature.
"If my people, who are called by my name, humble THEMSELVES, and repent, I will heal their land."
Wicked men are endless, but the disaster that they bring is used by God to drive the foolish back to the path of humble submission to Him and His ways.
We can't fix their rebellion, but we can fix ours.

Spokesman Matteo Bruni said the Francis’s recovery has been “normal” & he ate a pizza for dinner on Thurs.

Hospital admission came four days before Palm Sunday — the start of Holy Week.
Due to a chronic knee problem, Francis had already largely stopped celebrating Mass at major Catholic Church holy days but cont'd to preside at ceremonies & deliver homilies.
