Gods Perfect Gift
The gifts are all wrapped and under the tree,
On Christmas morning they’re sure to please;
We’ll gather with all of our family and friends,
And say “Merry Christmas” and exchange all of them;
But I can’t help but wonder if anyone thought,
Of what to give Him this glorious night;
All of the hustle and bustle and sales galore,
Have we forgotten what Christmas is for?
As for me the best gift I have ever received,
Is the Love and the Blessings through my life He gave me;
Divine grace and mercy He helps me through life,
Always there when I need Him, any day, any night;
There were times that I’ve wondered exactly what’s best,
But by following Him I can pass any test;
The name of whom I so lovingly speak,
Is Jesus, Christ the LORD of the humble and meek;
All the riches of the world cannot buy,
What my heart desires, Gods Love and Joy, Peace of mind;
So in case one may wonder what Christmas is for,
It’s for Jesus, Gods gift to a world forlorn.
