In Romans 11:33, the phrase "past finding out" is better understood as "past tracing out." This implies that the truths found in Romans 11:30-32 were not previously revealed through prophecy. To live in obedience to Ephesians 3:9, believers today must distinguish between two different aspects of Christ’s ministry:
The Confirmation Ministry: Jesus of Nazareth coming to fulfill promises made to Israel.

A Shift in the Spiritual Program: Following the conclusion of the Book of Acts, the spiritual program for the Body of Christ transitioned. This "new" program involves the "unsearchable riches of Christ" (Ephesians 3:8). These riches were "past tracing out," meaning no Old Testament prophet ever saw them coming.
The prophets spoke extensively about:
The Great Tribulation.
The return of the King to redeem Israel.
The rebuilding of the tabernacle of David (Amos 9:11-15).
The establishment of the literal Kingdom and the reign of the Prince of Peace.
These events were part of the promises Jesus came to confirm for Israel. However, the "Church of the Mystery" was never mentioned to those earlier generations.
The Divine Timeline: The sequence of future events is specific. The prophesied earthly Throne will not be established until God completes His "eternal purpose" for the current Age. Consequently, the "Great Tribulation" (also known as "the time of Jacob’s trouble") will not occur until after God has finished His current work in this Dispensation, and the Rapture of the Body of Christ has occurred."
