I REALLY enjoyed reading your memories of growing up. There're some real gems in there. I'll share some of my memories below. Keep in mind that I was born in 86, and missed out on the golden age of America that many of you experienced.

Here we go: Growing up on a cul-de-sac with tons of kids my age, riding bikes all over the neighborhood. Local parades with the farmers driving their tractors hauling hay wagons full of people tossing candy. The small local hardware store with creaky old floorboards and the old men who worked there that knew everything there was to know about tools and hardware. Driving on country roads with the windows down and the radio on (usually blasting 70's rock). Going to Blockbuster on a Friday night to pick out a movie, and stopping at the local pizza shop on the way home. Those nights were magical as a kid.
