Acting on reliable intelligence inputs,a joint naka operation was successfully conducted at Tadubi Police Station Drop Gate along NH-2.
The operation was carried out by a combined team of Tadubi Police led by Inspector Lamkhosat Kipgen, OC Tadubi, along with 16 AR Mao Post and SOT, under the supervision of SP Senapati.
During the naka checking, a white Bolero vehicle (Regn. No. NL-07-CB-1151) was intercepted. Upon thorough search, 20 (twenty) soap cases of suspected brown sugar were recovered, which had been concealed inside the vehicle.
A regular case has been registered at Tadubi Police Station, Senapati and further investigation is underway.

The operation was led by the SDPO, Khowai, accompanied by the Officer-in-Charge, Baijalbari PS, along with troops of 6th Battalion TSR. Approximately 6,000 mature cannabis plants were destroyed during the operation.

On 21.01.2026 security forces, forest department, NAB and executive magistrate destroyed approximately 15 acres of poppy cultivation at G. Monglian hill range under Sangaikot-PS, Churachandpur district. Two huts found at the cultivation site were burnt down. A case has been registered at Sangaikot-PS for further necessary legal action.
On 21.01.2026, security forces arrested one Avio S of Katafimai Village, Senapati district from Tadubi-PS Naka Check Point, along NH-2, Senapati district.
From his possession, the following were recovered:

The man, who was killed by armed Kuki individuals identified as UKNA members, has been named as Mayanglambam Rishikanta, son of M. Tombi Singh, from Kakching Khunou Uchal Makhong Leikai. Residents of Kakching Khunou blocked the Indo-Myanmar Sugnu Road today, January 22, protesting the brutal abduction and killing of Mayanglambam Rishikanta Singh (31). Rishikanta, a Meitei from Kakching married to a Kuki woman, was allegedly seized from his Tuibong home by four masked men in a black SUV on Jan 21.
