It is unacceptable to cause the death of an innocent bystander whilst fighting for humanity's freedom. It is acceptable however to stand by and watch while millions die every year under this slave system.

It's simple, you just have to never think about it or confront the reality of the system (commodity fetishism), just keep living your life as if the world revolves around you and accuse anyone trying to change it of trying to murder innocent people.

That way, you can convert your ignorance and your selfishness into a moral standpoint. You didn't pull the lever, and now millions will die from hunger, cold, heat, preventable disease, industrial accident, war and terror. Millions, even billions perhaps, more will live a life of unimaginable (to you, at least) heartbreak, not truly worth living at all.

How dare you criticise me for wanting to pull the lever when the majority of humanity is on the track? How dare you criticise me for wanting to free the human race from drudgery and servitude?

Okay, keep doing your iterative progress for a thousand years and get nowhere. The system will collapse due to climate change centuries before your reforms have any impact whatsoever. Then you'll see how many sick people will suffer without their life-saving medicines. Revolution as an upheaval is nothing compared to climate catastrophe.
