Dennis Sullivan has won the 2022 Abel prize, often called the Nobel prize of mathematics, for his wide-ranging contributions to topology, which is the study of how surfaces deform.
Apart from topology, he has worked on dynamical systems.

مسابقه XeroCTF دو مرحله‌ای شد، برای جایگاه خودتون بجنگید

سلام!

دم همه شما گرم که انقدر از مسابقه‌ی ما استقبال کردید. خبر خوب اینه که با جمعی بزرگتر از اونچه که پیشبینی می‌کردیم دور هم جمع شدیم. از این اتفاق خیلی خوشحالیم و بی‌صبرانه منتظریم که همتون رو ببینیم و با هم یک جامعه‌ی خفن و مؤثر بسازیم.

با توجه به اینکه تقاضا برای شرکت در XeroCTF زیاد بوده، در روبواپیکس تصمیم گرفتیم که یک مرحله گزینش به مسابقه اضافه کنیم. این تغییر اینطوری اجرا میشه:

*جمعه، ۱۳ خرداد ساعت ۰۰: ۰۰ به جای مسابقه اصلی یک مرحله برای گزینش به صورت آنلاین برگزار می‌کنیم تا فقط برترین‌ها به مسابقه حضوری XeroCTF ۲۰۲۲ راه پیدا کنن.*

مهلت ثبت نام برای مرحله مقدماتی تا ۱۱ خرداد ساعت ۲۳:۵۹ تمدید شد.

Abstract: Hodge conjecture is one of the major conjectures in complex algebraic geometry which is still unsolved. In this talk I will tell my own experience with this conjecture, why it is hard even in very special cases and what are the implications of this conjecture. The talk is mainly based on my book: A Course in Hodge Theory: With Emphasis on Multiple Integrals, Somerville, MA: International Press Boston, 2021.

Let me introduce these games and use them to illustrate various fascinating concepts in the theory of infinite games.

The Data Science Summer School 2022 is now officially open for registration.

DS3 is a series of workshops on the exciting methods and applications of data science to help navigate in the complex digital world of data today. The Summer School is completely free, available to everyone globally, and organised by the Hertie School Data Science Lab and funded by the Hertie School.

In this iteration, DS3 will deliver five courses on the foundational knowledge of data science, including Python and R programming and the fundamental mathematics essential to the success of data scientists. Three advanced courses will focus on some of the latest development in methods and applications in the field including Generative Adversarial Neural Networks and Transformers architecture.
