The US and Germany are blocking Ukraine's official application to join NATO, according to the German tabloid Bild.
The newspaper quoted a senior official as saying that Zelensky wanted to make a public appeal for the country's admission to the alliance at the Vilnius summit, but the US and Germany objected.
Earlier, Joe Biden said that Ukraine was not ready to become a member of the bloc. He also does not see any unity in NATO at the moment on the issue of Ukraine's admission to the alliance.
