🚨 Heads Up, Telegram Users! Your “Private” Groups Are Not as Safe as You Think! 🚨

Telegram is now monitoring private groups. Yes, you read that right! Even if your group or channel is set to "private," Telegram might still be keeping an eye on it.

What’s Going On?

According to a report from the eSafety Commissioner (March 2025), Telegram has confirmed that private groups and channels can be moderated and flagged if:

• Invite links to your private group are shared publicly (even on other platforms).

• Someone reports your group for violating Telegram’s terms (like promoting illegal or adult content).

Why Is This Happening?

Telegram recently updated their FAQ after some serious questions from the Australian government. They admitted that their old statement saying "we don’t moderate private chats" was actually a mistake, it was copy-pasted from the wrong section of their terms.
So now, private groups and channels are under the radar if their invite link gets shared in public or if users report violations. Private ≠ invisible anymore!

What Should You Do?

• Stop sharing your invite links publicly.

Protect your group by keeping invite links safe and limiting access to trusted members. Even in private groups, sharing those links could open the door to moderation.

• Be mindful of the content you post.

Anything that violates Telegram’s terms can be flagged, even in "private" chats.

What You Need to Know:

❗Fake tasksche.exe File
This file pretends to be a normal system process. It’s used in major cyberattacks like WannaCry. if you see tasksche.exe (with an extra “e”), don’t run it. It’s a backdoor tool, once run, it can:

• Give hackers remote access
• Steal your passwords
• Install more viruses
• Lock your files for ransom
• Just opening it is enough to get hacked or encrypted.
• it installs itself in hidden folders like %AppData% or %Temp% It may look like a normal file, with real app icons, but it runs silently in the background without your knowledge.

How They’re Spreading It:

• WhatsApp forwards
• Telegram groups
• Emails with document attachments
• Fake social media links

How to Stay Safe:

• Don’t open unknown files, even if sent by a friend
• Block .exe, .scr, and suspicious downloads
• Use trusted antivirus software
• Use trusted websites to download stuff

Google Tightens the Screws Again: Play Integrity API Gets Stricter (May 2025)

Google has rolled out major changes to the Play Integrity API and if you're running a custom ROM, rooted device, or just trying to use Android without full dependence on Google, this is going to hurt.

What Changed?

✅ meetsdeviceintegrity now requires hardwarebacked verified boot
Devices must have a locked bootloader and run an official, certified ROM. If you're using custom Rom, or anything nonstock you’re cooked.

✅ meetsstrongintegrity is even more exclusive
Now also requires a recent security patch (within the last year) across all partitions including vendor. Even many stock ROMs might not qualify here.

✅ meetsbasicintegrity isn’t safe anymore either
Google now demands Android Platform Key Attestation. Uncertified phones are getting pushed to the margins.

🖥App licensing and optional checks now demand Play Store installs

Apps have to be installed or updated via Google Play to receive full integrity responses. Sideloaded APKs or installs from alternative stores? No go.

What This Really Means?

Google is using “security” as a justification to tighten control over the Android ecosystem. These changes make it harder for:

❗ Users on custom ROMs to run apps normally
❗ Devices with root access to pass integrity checks
❗ People avoiding Google services to keep apps working
❗ Anyone who sideloads APKs to get full app functionality

This isn't about stopping real threats, it's about enforcing lockin. Developers who rely on these API checks may start denying access to anyone not playing by Google’s rules, even if the device is perfectly safe and secure.

Google is clamping down harder on user freedom under the banner of "security." If you're on a custom setup, expect more apps to break or block access unless you give up control and go back to Google's walled garden.

One Exception (for now)

These changes don’t affect Play Games for PC, which will continue to return meetsvirtualintegrity.
