I managed to get this with an Ubuntu 9.10 CD on my mod-chipped SCPH-1002 PS1.
The Fearful Harmony happens because the PS1 is tricked by the modchip to detect that it's a PS1 game inside, while it's an unreadable data disk, so the PS1 tries to run instructions…
