🌍 African countries formed a new alliance
Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali have signed a charter that establishes the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) to create a collective defense architecture, Mali's interim president Assimi Goïta said on his X account (Twitter).
An aggression against one AES party would be considered an aggression against other parties and would require the assistance of all countries in the treaty, including military force, the document signed on Saturday says.
The decision came amid talks between a delegation of the Russian Defense Ministry and representatives of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger.
In early September, Russian military officers led by Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov visited Burkina Faso. During the talks with the head of state Ibrahim Traoré, they discussed military-technical cooperation, including the training of Burkina Faso's military, including pilots, in Russia.
On September 16, Yevkurov held closed-door talks with Malian President Assimi Goïta and Niger's Defense Minister Salifou Modi, Malian television reported.
Earlier, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) suspended the membership of Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, and other countries where the military has seized power. The community has also threatened Niger with intervention, while France has voiced support for the decision. Mali and Burkina Faso promised to assist Niger in case of intervention.

My thoughts on the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict
what subsequently happened:
According to the Azeri media APA, an agreement was reached that includes the following:
1. The formations of the Armenian armed forces and the illegal Armenian armed groups located in the Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan lay down their arms, abandon their combat positions and military posts and disarm completely. Units of the Armenian armed forces leave the territory of Azerbaijan and illegal Armenian armed groups are released.
2. At the same time, all weapons and heavy equipment are delivered.
3. It is ensured that the above-mentioned processes are carried out in coordination with the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

🔹Indonesia 🇮🇩 has launched a National Task Force to promote local-currency transactions (LCT). "Bank Indonesia is confident that the National LCT Task Force will be an effective coordination forum to strengthen policy synergy between government ministries and agencies in an effort to increase the use of local currencies in bilateral transactions between Indonesia and major trading partners," ——Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo.
🔹Indonesia's confidence in the National LCT Task Force isn’t just about currency; it’s about forging stronger, more independent bilateral ties with global trading partners. The gov't and Bank Negara Malaysia 🇲🇾 will continue to expand the Local Currency Settlement Framework (LCSF) cooperation with Indonesia.
🔹Meanwhile, new revelations reveal that the US's🇺🇸 National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a notorious CIA front, is laying the foundations for a color revolution in Indonesia 🇮🇩 under the aegis of “democracy promotion.” The NED is covertly encouraging and bankrolling the activism of opposition parties and trade unions while cementing its graduates of NED training programs ahead of the Feb. 2024 presidential elections. Some of the same tactics the NED employed in Ukraine's 🇺🇦 Maidan 2014 coup.
🔹Last month, Vietnam🇻🇳 joined ASEAN members Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand 🇹🇭, the Philippines 🇵🇭 and Singapore 🇸🇬 to establish cross-border payments mechanisms through the Regional Payment Connectivity initiative.
🔹Indonesia plans to use local currencies in bilateral trade with India🇮🇳 . In May, South Korea 🇰🇷 and Indonesia signed a MoU to cooperate on promoting the use of their currencies for bilateral transactions. The Bank of Indonesia is working on its own domestic card payment system as part of a strategy to reduce dependency on foreign systems and protect transactions from geopolitical fallout.

🇳🇪🇺🇸❌ US will not withdraw its armed forces from Niger - Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin.
🗣 "France made its own, independent decision based on its own reasons, and it is up to France to comment on that decision. As for our forces in Niger, we have not made any significant changes to their operation," he says.
Earlier, Macron agreed to the ask of the new anti-colonial powers in Niger & withdraw French troops.

About the only Christian community in America that seems even remotely close to Muslim levels of seriousness about their religious values is the Amish, and they can only maintain that by being completely cut off from the modern world.
But yeah, I guess if they asked us to help raise a barn or something, there's room for allyship.😏

🔹The Central Bank of Egypt 🇪🇬 , and the Central Bank of the UAE 🇦🇪 have established a bilateral currency swap agreement valued at approximately $1.4 billion. Up to 5 billion dirhams and 42 billion Egyptian pounds would be allowed for exchange. The deal is part of Egypt's efforts to find solutions for its ongoing economic challenges and crisis.
🔹Egypt🇪🇬 is battling its worst foreign currency squeeze in years. The country has devalued the pound three times since early 2022, allowing it to lose almost half its value against the USD 💵. The IMF is urging Egyptian authorities to permit greater flexibility in the country's currency before providing additional funding as part of a $3 billion rescue program.
🔹The UAE and Egypt (both new BRICS members) are now also part of a BRICS research group looking into potential agreements on a basket of local currencies and payment systems so BRICS nations can pay each other based on a set of solutions comparing currency rates. Note that the UAE (new member) and Egypt are also dialogue partners of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
🔹The UAE🇦🇪 offloaded $4 billion worth of US 🇺🇸 treasury bonds in June, making it the second consecutive month the country sold US government debt. The UAE and India 🇮🇳 recently signed an agreement that focuses on creating a Local Currency Settlement System, promoting bilateral transactions using the Rupee-Dirham.

With the growing animosity between the West and India, there is a potentially exploitable opportunity for Indian Muslims to recruit Western support against Modi and RSS. Or rather, an opportunity that Muslim oppression may be exploited by the West to undermine the BJP government.
In my opinion, however, such a strategy would only broaden the rift between India and the West, and would only intensify persecution against the Muslims in India.
Alternatively, Muslim-majority countries, particularly the Gulf States, could (and should) use this moment to intervene. India is alienating some of its most powerful friends right now, and it does not want to become isolated. These circumstances would amplify the potency of global Muslim condemnation.

A brief story from prison:
When I was in the “Muderiyya”, the detention center in Sharjah before being transferred to the Central Prison, the inmates were crowded so tightly into the rooms that if you could find a place to lay down, there wasn’t even enough space to turn over.
There was a huge Nigerian man, a Christian, named Sonny, who was very loud and aggressive. He was probably about 2 metres tall, muscular and extremely angry. He had been detained for several weeks, and there seemed to be no solution to his problems. Because of his size and demeanor, everyone was scared of him, and tried to avoid him as much as possible.
At one point, I found myself laying in a place where Sonny used to sleep, and I saw that he had drawn a christian cross on the wall and written the words “God is good”.
Prisoners are very innovative, and they had learned to make paste from bread crumbs, water, and cigarette ashes, so I took a piece of paper, applied the paste to it, and glued it on the wall to cover the cross, leaving the words uncovered. The other prisoners became nervous about this and told me Sonny would be angry. I said, “it is enough what we are going through, I am not going to sit in a jail in a Muslim country, surrounded by Muslims, and have to look at a Christian cross on the wall.”
Nothing happened. Then another day, I found myself back at the same spot and saw that Sonny had ripped off the paper. So, I started trying to rub the ink off the wall with my thumb while Sonny was out of the room. Again, the other prisoners were nervous. The ink wouldn’t come off, so I took the little wire used to tie the plastic bags of bread, and started to scratch the cross off the wall. I told the others to tell me when Sonny was coming back.
While I was in the process of scratching the drawing off the wall, they told me “Stop! Stop! He’s coming!” but I stayed where I was and continued. When Sonny came in, I called him over.
“I am removing this from the wall because it disturbs me,” i told him. “The cross is an instrument of torture and execution. It is a symbol that represents the lie that our Prophet Jesus was abandoned by God and murdered by his enemies. I know this is not what it means to you, but it is deeply offensive to us, and I am sure you do not want to offend us, just as you do not want us to offend you. So I am leaving the words ‘God is good’ because this is true, and we agree on that.”
You may be surprised by Sonny’s reaction. He respected what I said, and the fact that I was direct with him, and he actually scratched the cross off the wall himself.
You may be further surprised to learn that over the next two weeks, Sonny and I discussed Islam and Christianity at length, and he eventually embraced Islam.
