Modpacks to play if you have a ahh PC.....

As I own a very NOT decent PC, I've scoured the internet for any modpacks which run on light weight laptops or PC. This took some time but I have finalised some of the best quality and light weight modpacks from every category.

Alright, These modpacks will most definitely work on any pc with a basic CPU/Integrated graphics/5gigs of RAM allocated.

(Not in any specific group or order)

1\] Crucial 2- An amazing vanilla+ modpack which adds many QOL and enhancing mods which really makes you savour the modpack! This modpack runs on 2 gigs of ram. {100+ mods}

2\] Rougelite adventures and dragons- A modpack which completely overhauls minecraft with dungeons and ruins to explore. There are tons of dimensions, armour, structures to explore!
This modpack runs on 2-4 Gigs on ram (Whatever suits YOU best) {200+ mods}

3\] Crazy craft 2.0- This is the only GOOD version of crazy craft that runs on 1.16 AND is good for light weight PCs. I tested it with 6 gigs of ram and it works just fine averaging about 60 fps. It has HUGE amounts of content and is really fun to play. {200+ mods}

4\] MC eternal lite- This modpack offers everything. From adventure to tech to magic, everything is In abundance. The only problem people will face in this modpack will be the loading time because it takes a lot of time to load the modpack! Will run on 5-6 gigs of ram, If lucky enough, 4.5gigs will also do it. {200+ mods}

5\] Advent of ascension plus- This modpack is ALL about exploration, looting dungeons and travelling to different dimensions. It is quite a grindy modpack because it has a specific endgame but it sure is fun! Runs on 4-5 gigs of ram. {160+ mods}

6\] R2D2 l Races origin- A Big BUT light weight modpack which adds RPG content to minecraft. New armor, weapons, mobs, structures, dungeons and SO MUCH MORE. The intention of this modpack is to stay close to vanilla while adding RPG content so you will feel the amount of structures being the core of the pack while exploring:)This modpack will run on 5-6 gigs of ram because the modpack runs on 1.19.2 unlike the other modpacks. {130+ mods}

7\] Project overpowered- One of my most favourite skyblock modpack ,revolving around the idea of tech and transmutation. You can become overpowered in this modpack by automating most of the stuff you need for the endgame. All the tutorials are given in the pack. The core of this pack is "Projecte". You can play this on 3-4 gigs but I recommend allocating 5 gigs so that your game doesn't lag when near machines!

8\] MystTech- The purpose of this modpack is to fill the gaps that other modpacks have as far as mods, This modpack provides everything you need, be it whether you need to automate stuff, go exploring, loot dungeons. EVERYTHING is in the modpack. You can run this modpack on 4gigs or more. {220+ mods}

9\] Hexxit updated- Probably one of the best exploration modpacks out there. The entire point of this modpack is to explore, get stronger, grind for better gear, defeat mobs, EXPLORE EVEN MORE. If you want to reminisce the old and nostalgic days of you playing hexxit, this pack is definitely for you! This will run on about 2-3 gigs of ram. {100+ mods}

10\] Cuboid outpost- A modpack in which you are stranded on a barren planet and have to rebuild civilisation. A great modpack if you have time on your hands. This modpack can run on about 4-6 gigs of ram. {250+ mods}

These are just a few of them, I have about 50 more which can be played without any lag on your PC. lmk if anyone wants another post regarding some other modpacks.

Update on HBMNTM 1.20.1

Here we are again.

Guess what?

We have 3d chunk radiation ;)

That means Radiation shielding and such. So now radioactive blocks cant kill you through multiple meters of pure fucking lead. Yippee!!

Essentially I created a bunch of noscripts that split each chunk into 24 subchunks, and then split the subchunks into pockets through a flood-fill algorithm, these pockets then interact with eachother and hold radiation, and are separated by rad-resistant blocks.

(This took me a month guys please be proud of me)

Hopefully updates will be quicker now that I've graduated and have more time on my hands 😁

Any modern expert modpack recommendations?

Me and my gf "recently" played a few modpacks but none really sticked (ATM10, ATM9TTS, E9E, Stoneblock 2, Craftoria)
She likes exploring, fighting bosses and crafting weapons
I like Tech and Building
We really liked E9E, but it just didn't fit the modern experience of modpacks like atm10 and 9

Do you have any recommendations for expert modpacks that kinda bridge the gap between E9E and ATM10?

Is there ANY mod that allows me to pick what biomes to generate on world spawn in 1.20 ?

1.20.1 generation is very weird, apparently terrain generates before biomes now so you can't just pick and choose anymore ??
I really need a mod for this, my whole pack relies on it and I never expected it to be an issue

Please tell me there is a working mod that removes all cheese caves. I hate them so much it has ruined the game for me.

My love for the game has been entirely killed. The overworld is absolutely littered with MASSIVE cave entrances that lead all the way down to bedrock. Can't build anywhere, because after 10 blocks down, boom, another cave that leads straight to bedrock.

What the f***?

The overworld used to be quite pretty in this game, but now it's so littered with massive caves and ravines it looks like a destroyed planet with no physics or atmosphere.

It's mind boggling to me that this game does not offer any kind of customization upon game creation on how frequent we want things to be, so that caves, etc. could be scaled down to like 10% frequency. The default (and apparently only setting for caves) has made me quit the game. I have no love for it anymore.

You can only use 1 magic mod and 1 tech mod,along with their add-ons, what would you pick

So while I like ATM packs and all, I personally think having 12 ways to make an iron ingot is annoying at best and clutter at worse, so I ask, what combination is the best,any version and excluding QoL mods, what are your ideas

I like infection mods, but there's no way to win against most of them...

So... I love Infection mods, as they offer a completely new challenge that other modern mods rarely if ever offer.


But, I have a big problem with most of the modern infection mods: They cannot be truly beaten.


I recognise that mods like Scape & Run where made specificaly for you to avoid and not engage at all, but their modern successors allow and encorage you to fight back and win, but you cannot defeat it...


The only exception for this is Sculk Horde, but there are many other infection mods that feel like they also should be defeatable, but just aren't, like The Flesh That Hate, and the Fungal Infection: Spore
