Integration: No longer feeling like standalone additions, mods are carefully stitched together to be cohesive and complementary.

Multiplayer: Minecraft is better together, but in most modded packs, this is often an afterthought. Neo Adventure boasts having a dedicated server since its opening. Bugs will be simultaneously addressed for both the server and single-player worlds.

Difficulty: Many hours have been spent fine-tuning balance and progression. As such, endgame recipes may be gated, and loot tables have been configured to keep epic loot epic, not to be easily acquired in a random village.

Balance: The journey won't be easy. Instead of artificial difficulty being generated by infinitely high mob health, a limit has been appropriately configured. Acquiring immense power is possible, but it will be challenging and adequately rewarding.

So I just learned about this mod. Me and my friends want to play with mods. Will I (as the host) be the only one that has to have mods installed, or will my friends also need to download those mods? Also, let’s say I have a mod installed while hosting(trade cycling mod for example), and my friend joins but he has a mod installed, will the “server” also use his mod, or my mods only(as the host)?

My tips for making a "forever world" modpack!

While typically vanilla Minecraft is preferable for a long-term survival world, I prefer to play modded Minecraft and wanted to set up a personal modpack for my own "forever world" and these are some tips I'd give to someone who wants to do the same:

1) Avoid mods that greatly affect world generation. It's one thing if you remove a mod from your pack and a single ore disappears, it's another thing entirely if a biome vanishes alongside all of that biome's blocks. Or multiple biomes.

2) Avoid the temptation of teleportation mods. While they're super convenient, they take away the satisfaction of setting up infrastructure like roads or train networks.

3) Avoid storage mods... maybe. If you're the kind of person to never organize your storage in vanilla, then disregard this tip, but otherwise, I'd recommend not using any storage mods so that you can set up your own organized storage system and not have it be made entirely redundant by a mod like Tom's Simple Storage.

4) Aim for as few huge content mods as possible. Client stuff that doesn't affect the world at all like JEI are fair game, though.

5) Don't be afraid to take a risk and add smaller mods that aren't as large and consistently updated as super popular mods like Supplementaries. I have a number of mods like Exposure, Tide, and Little Big Redstone. While removing any of those would suck, it wouldn't break my world. You can check if a mod would be safe to remove if it stops getting updated by creating a world, placing stuff from the mod down, and then removing the mod and loading back into the world.

6) This is more of a personal preference thing, but I would recommend against using mini-maps. I find them pretty distracting and it's more fun to do stuff like mapping out your world yourself. There's also the Map Atlas mod that sort of acts like a nice medium between mods like JourneyMap and vanilla maps.
