Arken – A New Redstone Source Mod With a Twist [1.20.1 Forge]

Adds **Deepslate Arken Ore**, **Arken Orb**, and the **Arken Block** — a redstone power source that behaves unlike anything vanilla.
The block outputs full light by default and full strength redstone signals but **selectively suppresses** it's redstone and light source depending on *how* it’s powered:


Block Features;

* ✅ Suppresses with torches (underneath, or facing it on the same Y).
* ✅ Suppresses only with direct strong signals (buttons/levers/tripwires/oberservers, etc **directly attached**.
* ✅ Ignores dust suppression, but still powers dust.
* ✅ Never primes TNT, no matter where it’s placed.
* ✅ Behaves almost lamp-like but focuses on direct strong signal interactions only to suppress it.
* ✅ While it behaves like a redstone source, it also has the fundamental properties of glass, meaning that if a lever is attached to the block side and activated then a redstone source sitting on top will NOT be activated by the lever.
* ✅ Also acts like a beacon block

Think of it as a **puzzle piece for advanced contraptions**.

Arken Orb Features;

* ✅ On Right click, transforms the orb into any item in the game - modded or unmodded.
* ✅ Black List and White list options available, black list is default and already includes the obvious like bedrock etc

This item is essentially a **configurable loot box for 1x random items!**


Deepslate Arken Ore Features;

* ✅ Ore is extremely rare, spawning 1 vein every 3 chunks (0 - -52 configurable) on average (configurable) with 1 every 2 chunks in the deep dark
* ✅ The majority that spawn (70%) spawn with at least 1 ore facing air, slightly offsetting the rarity with visibility
* ✅ The ore also has a light glow (3 out of 15 light level) that furthers the chances of being found
* ✅ Config also allows for extra veins to spawn per chunk if it is too rare, set the Y axis of spawns, allows for the vein per chunk to be increased if you want it to be even rarer and lastly has a toggle to turn off the facing air and instead face a solid block - making it so the ores never get seen unless mining

While the mod itself is small in content added, it has been fully tested, balanced and designed with modpacks in mind, while also provided a very robust config file so anyone can use it to their own preferences!

1.12.2 (or 1.7.10) modpack suggestion

Nostalgic dude here coming back to modded minecraft after years, asking for suggestions. If you know any, i'm searching for some 'expert' pack (to have modified recipes and cross links between mods), open world with Forestry, Ic2 (i would be fine with a bit of gregtech) and all the tech stuff, but also exploration and magic. Bonus points if i can finally manage to try rotarycraft and reactorcraft but i'm fine without them. Started Infinity Evolved but the pre-quarry is quite tedious. Project ozone 3 was nice but doesn't have forestry. Don't mention FTB Ultimate or i'm gonna cry

Is the 1.12.2 version of Twilight Forest finally completed?

Last time I actively played TF survival was like 2 years ago but even many years before that I remember missing textures or unfinished boss fights / locations (surrounded by invisible wall or something like that). Is the 1.12.2 version finally finished?

I need specifically 12.2 for my classical nostalgia modpack with mo creatures, TF, Thaumcraft and a few smaller mods.

Bonus question: if you know any more fun mods in this medieval fantasy style let me know, I'll gladly throw them in too :) can be even just the smallest things like more weapons (Reforged) and such.
