Primal Winter question

Is there a way to like turn off the storm or like make it periodic instead of constant? i love the primal winter mod cuz of how it looks and feel but yea the constant stream of particles are hurting me a little.

My friend HATES any form of modding in all games, but ESPECIALLY Minecraft. What can I do?

He hates modding so much, I have to BEG for him to get even the most basic and simple quality of life mods for the games we play.

And then we started playing Minecraft. He will not get a SINGLE mod. Even the most tiny, even the most simple. The most he can do are texture packs, anything else and it's too much for him.

This is his main argument (paraphrased): "Modding is like if you had a delicious cup of hot chocolate, and then some guy shows up and grates cheese onto it because cheese is yummy. To me Minecraft is the perfect game. No issues, no problems. No need for more content. Even if a mod is good, it's pointless because being good is not enough reason for adding a mod and changing the game beyond the creator's intend experience."

How do I save this man from his insanity and delusions.
