What content mods are known for having optimized code?

Was wondering if anyone knew of any mod authors or mods that are known for have a functionally well made mod. That is, a mod that takes care in using as little resources as possible and running as smoothly as possible for the content it provides.

For instance, If I recall correctly, I remember both KingLemming and his thermal series mods as well as AE2.
