How big is TerraFirmaCraft by itself (TerraFirmaGreg)?

Currently looking at going through TerraFirmaGreg Vintage and Modern (starting on Vintage) however TerraFirmaCraft is one of the few mods ive never really touched on. From what ive heard it overhauls quite a lot however the small-ish modlist (125 mods) on Vintage kinda puts me off wanting to do it since I hella prefer large/extra-large packs rather than a Vanilla+ kinda pack...?

(I get it already has Gregtech and a few other tech mods plus extras which already aint rlly "Vanilla+" or whatevs buuut...)

What’s the Best Way to Play Mods with Friends?

So basically yeah, I’m trying to make a modded Minecraft server for me and my friends with custom hand-picked mods I’ve been running with myself. It’s a very vanilla friendly experience so my buddies won’t be too intimidated and can still follow basic Minecraft gameplay.

Where the question comes in is…… what is the easiest way to set all this up? My friends will probably roll their eyes if they gotta do a lot of going into the files and editing text files n messing around with allat stuff (yeah they can be a bit lazy sorry guys if you’re reading this)

I’ve done a good couple hours of research and mostly seen the whole “me giving my IP to my friends and them having to also download every mod separately client side” which they will probably definitely not wanna do because it’s like ~100 mods 😶

Is there a way of like making my own modpack and using a server hosting website so that all they gotta do is download forge launcher and click a button to play? Or something… if not, I swear I’ll go to their house and set this all up myself on their pc if I got to.

P.S. I’m not even sure if this is the right subreddit to ask about this but uhhh I don’t really know where else to go. I don’t use reddit that much.

What mods are you currently "burned out" by ?

I realized while playing through the Twilight Forest for my third GTNH attempt that I stopped caring about the mod and simply rushed until the Ur-Ghast to be able to make Magical Wood for my Hammer. It just became wearisome to play through it and I absolutely don't care about it or it's content anymore. I still believe it's maybe the best dimension mod ever made but I've seen it so much I can't get myself to care anymore. At least it took a while for me to do so as I must have played through it 10+ times over the past 10 years.

Other mods for me are Immersive Engineering maybe it's just 1.12 expert packs flashbacks coming back or simply because i'm a failed pack maker and many of my abandonned packs start with it but it's so frequently used and it take so much space all for temporary setups you will eventually replace by better compact setups it kinda became tedious. I recently started seeing it more as filler mod pack makers use to fill an hole in the early game rather than a thoughtful addition. (I really like having to use the Arc Furnace though, I wish it wasn't only an early game milestone in most progressions)

Mekanism would be another good pick for me. I don't like it's multiblocks, it feels janky (it was worse in older versions where some machines didn't even have a configurable i/o), I don't like that you can't put input and output on the same slots (and packs frequently expects you to produce a lot of items using its machines which becomes kinda annoying to setup) and I think i'm just a bit tired of the usual antimatter into end game progression. It doesn't really feel good to play with anymore and it's now everywhere to the point where i'm tired of seeing it.

So if you too are burned out by specific mods, what are they and why so ?
