I love dimension mods!

I love dimension mods so much! The good ones all have a really distinctive atmosphere to them. I love exploring them and building little outposts in them. Sometimes I'll even do certain mods specifically in the dimension to save on lag at my main base.

I know Blue Skies gets a lot of flack for its redundant ore progression, but its fun to play around in their worlds. They have such cool creatures as well! The big frog in the Everdawn is one of the most fun forms of transportation in all of modded, in my opinion. The Undergarden is this spooky, damp swamp cave that has such great atmosphere (and also redundant ore progression). Atum is just a really cool constant fight until you can establish a wall with your own stronghold. Tropicraft is... umm... really beautiful! And is totally balanced with its 10 damage 2 hit speed axe that's better than everything in the game and is created out of an ore that is more plentiful than redstone. Wow, a lot of these have garbage ores, huh?

Anyways, I really like dimension mods, and I wanna hear about your experiences with them! What're your favorite and least favorite? How have they contributed to the story of your minecraft worlds?

How do I make Minecraft mods WITH programming knowledge?

I've been programming for a long time now and decided I wanted to try making Minecraft mods but I can't find a single things on where to go for it. All the tutorials are on how to make mods without programming knowledge and I'm sitting here wanting to make a mod from scratch by myself for a deep understanding.

Confession: Playing with my gf who is more into building than tech, I would secretly add more resources than she had made herself when she hit a new milestone in progression.

Playing Infinity Evolved Expert Mode, she successfully made steel for the first time, so before we next played, I spawned in a bit more for her. Not enough to totally sequence break, but just enough to make the next step not quite as daunting.

modpack creators, what was the most painful part?

Hi, I’m thinking about building my first modpack (not just throwing mods together), and Ive heard everything from 'its easy" to "its hell".
