My quick review on Stoneblock 4

Recently just finished the story related aspect of Stoneblock 4, and the final chapter as well, and felt like giving some of my experiences with it.

I will start off by saying that this definitely was a step up from the previous Stoneblocks. The whole story related to the echoes and the World Engine was woven in pretty nicely and didn't feel way too restrictive on what I was able to do, other than a few exceptions (the Mekanism ultimate tier upgrade being locked to one of the final World Engine upgrades being one of them). I also liked that it kinda makes you learn some mods that maybe you might not have checked out (for me, that was Oritech).
The echoes had nice personalities and great voice acting, although I wish they could have been fleshed out a little bit more, as I feel like some of them felt a bit more flat, while others felt more alive.

The "exploration" part, if I had to call it that, was improved nicely from Stoneblock 3, with the telepad shards allowing quick access to all the rings and purchasable pretty early on, too. Even with those, though, I feel like it was a bit annoying to get to some dungeons, such as the Malkuth arena, since I had to spend quite a while digging through, looking for it on my minimap. However, the custom dungeons definitely made up for it with how well made and fun they were.

Moving on from that, the whole shop system felt much more balanced and integrated well compared to the random loot rewards that you used to get previously. While it was a little bit frustrating that certain items were locked to the shop only, such as watches of flowing time or ME infinite water cells, I still think it was a nice integration and provided a nice optional way to get certain items if you didn't wanna dedicate resources to making them yourself.

I have run into a couple of bugs here and there, including one that locked me from progression in the Infernal Vault for a little while, but that makes sense given how new the pack is. I even see that a bug I ran into with the ascension quests will be fixed soon, too, so it's nice to see how serious they're being with the bug fixes.

That's all I can think of saying at the moment. Maybe I'll edit and add some more if I can think of anything else. I'd like to hear what anyone else has thought of this pack so far, whether if you've finished it or not.

Modpacks that focus a lot on late game automation

I have started so many packs and got burned out before even reaching endgame due to the slow early game progression. I'm also just tired of doing the same manual crafting and resource gathering in every new pack.

Is there a modpack out there that makes the early game as easy as possible and focuses heavily on late game automation?

I simply enjoy processing lines and setting up automation with AE2.

Im trying to find a mod, that makes minecraft feel new again.

I need a mod that adds a whole new progression stage. by that I mean:

early game being a bit slower and fun

mid game having so much more things, mobs, weapons, armour, undead mobs,.. ANYTHING

END GAME ITEMS ADDED; BOSSES TO KILL, ORES TO DISCOVER, NEW TOOLS AND ARMOUR

structures, mobs, ores, BOSSES, mechanics..

I want the game to be a bit more challenging too, i really want to be suprised about some things. like a kid trying to find out how to play the game again. Any recommendations?

Do you think 1.21.1 is comparable to 1.20.1 as of today, in terms of mod variety? (NeoForge/Fabric)

"unique" modpack rocommendation?

i'm looking for a modpack that doesn't fall to the usual genres of mc modpacks (kitchen sink rpgs, tech/magic progression pack, expert pack, vanila plus, and generally just the usual cursforge frontpage). i saw a modpack called" tfc terra draconis". it's a tfc pack but you play as a dragon and i think it was sick as hell.

anyone else got a unique pack recommendation like that? something highly specific or just tailored for a certain gameplay style/experience.
it doesn't have to be good or super well polished as long as it's trying something different.
