Coming back, is there anything like Infinity Evolved in 2026?

Hi friends!

Infinity Evolved: Skyblock is easily one of my favourite modpacks of all time, I played through it years ago and I loved the grindiness and working towards the penultimate goal of crafting creative items. My old world has been lost to time but I finished it with all creative items built and I remember how satisfying it all felt to have it done.

I haven't played modded Minecraft in 5~ years and I'd love to experience something similar, it doesn't have to be a skyblock pack but something kind-of grindy with a unique end-goal like Infinity Evolved had would be awesome.

I'm planning on buying Hytale this weekend and creating THE tech mod, which features references to every tech/engineering adjacent game or mod out there, anyone want to help?

Is there a mod that forces players underground?

Basically I've got this idea for a server for my friends, and I'm looking to see if there's a mod that would help with the concept.

The idea is that the players get a certain amount of time to gather resources, crop seeds, saplings, basically anything they'd need, but after a certain amount of time, all the players would be forced underground. This could be due to a disease in the air, or radiation, or a really harsh climate, or something like that, but they have to live underground.

Does anyone know if a mod like this exists?

Best way to learn create?

I see people using Create and making some cool stuff so how do I learn the mod without being overwhelmed? because there isn't any linear progression from what I know of.

currently doing a server with my friends that have create and have no idea what to do in that regard

My modpack has great world gen, but a serious kelp problem

Does anyone know of a reasonable way to deal with world gen producing server-lagging amounts of broken kelp items? Like, I’m not even sure what kind of tool or solution I should be looking for.

Dear creators of mods that include weapons, armors, etc.

I have been doing modpacks for years and one of the problems of gear mods is the fact that most of the times, we do not get info about how powerful the mod is.

For example, i remember one time I added mystical agriculture to one of my modpacks, and one of the weapons you could obtain did an absolutely shit ton of damage (I think it was like 45???) while being fairly easy to get. We are talking about one specific item that completely destroys the purpose of other weapons to ever be used.

For me, balancing is a vital part of a good modpack and when downloading mods I think it would be nice to get some type of idea of how overpowered the mod is.

I thought of some type of metric to determine different levels a mod can have (Like energy classes on electronic devices... xd) At least when I enter the curseforge/modrinth I could see something like:

*S+ TIER GEAR MOD* (most likely super-late equipment that will probably be better than anything else on the modpack)

I don't know, is just a thought i had right now. I bet I'm not the only one with these balancing issues.
