Use of AI on CurseForge and Modrinth
As a modpack author, I often browse newly-updated and recently-released mods on CurseForge/Modrinth, keeping an eye out for anything interesting. It is because of this that I have noticed the extreme saturation of AI-generated images and denoscriptions plaguing these platforms. It is difficult for me to imagine someone spending effort on making a mod or modpack and then not writing a denoscription for it themself. As such, I usually pass up anything with an AI-generated image or denoscription because I assume it's low-effort.
Plenty of extremely popular mods use stock images as logos or have simple one-paragraph denoscriptions. I'm kind of wondering why there isn't the same sort of response to using generative AI as there is around a tool like MCreator, which I've seen widely disparaged as causing CurseForge to be flooded with dozens of poor-quality mods made by lazy people.
Personally, I'm really frustrated by this trend and find it to be rather unenjoyable to look through new releases. The few competent, interesting mods I find are drowned out by the legions of slop I have to deal with, especially since AI-generated denoscriptions almost never do a good job at actually telling me what the mod does (unless said mod is very simple). And since it's only getting more common, I'm wondering what other people's thoughts are on the constant AI spam on every platform. I find it unbearable but I'm curious as to whether I'm the only person browsing by Recently Updated.

What do you think about a fixed, conditional camera for an adventure horror mod?

I made a free mod that lets your builds spawn as adventure in other players' worlds

Hey everyone, I'm a solo dev working on STRUTTURA, a free Fabric mod + website for architects and adventurers.
Here's what it does:
FOR ARCHITECTS:
Save your builds in creative mode and push them to the cloud
Download them in any other world - works as a versioned backup for your creations
Your name is always credited, both on the site and in-game
FOR ADVENTURERS:
Browse builds on the site and create curated lists (or pick lists from other players)
In Adventure mode, builds from your lists spawn naturally in your survival world as you explore
Builds can include command blocks and mobs, so talented architects can create entire adventures, dungeons, or challenges
Like the builds you enjoy - architects get the recognition they deserve
The problem? I'm a developer, not a builder. The platform is live but empty because I can't build anything worth sharing.
If any of you would be willing to try it out and upload some of your creations, I'd really appreciate it. It's completely free, no catches.

Happy to answer any questions. And if you have feedback on how to make it better for builders, I'm all ears.
