Discussing AI Agents & Trading at Zebu Live
yesterday, CEO Hugo talks about how Minima's full nodes can empower users to audit and regulate their Agents data.
As users come to rely more on AI tools in their decision making, this kind of audit trail will be crucial to verify that trade decisions were made from legitimate, untampered data, not selectively manipulated inputs.

New milestone for Minima: in addition to Arm, we’re teaming up with the University of Southampton and Siemens to pioneer the world’s first blockchain-on-chip for application in drones.
This is where embedded blockchain meets real-world autonomy. Here’s why it matters 👇
🔗 https://minima.global/post/university-of-southampton-and-minima-to-pioneer-world-first-blockchain-on-chip
The collaboration combines Minima’s blockchain architecture and the power of Arm silicon with the Univeristy of Southampton’s electronics expertise and Siemens’ industrial innovation.
Together, we’re embedding trust directly into drone hardware: machines that prove what they do, as they do it.
Built on our ongoing work with Arm, we are embedding a full Minima node directly onto silicon and integrating it into a functioning drone system to deliver a customer ready solution that solves real industry problems.
It fast-tracks deployment across drones today, and vehicles, robotics, and IoT next.
Why drones?
They often operate autonomously.
By embedding Minima’s Layer 1 blockchain, each drone becomes a self-verifying node. Logging data, missions, and telemetry without cloud or central servers.
🌍 For the wider Web3 ecosystem, this is decentralization evolving from software to silicon.
🔹 Devices that transact and verify in real time.
🔹 Infrastructure that scales without servers.
🔹 Trust built into the machine itself.
From protocol, to hardware, to autonomy.
The result: a blockchain with with no comparisons, with no equals:
Minima is on track to cross the threshold others simply can't.
Fully Decentralized
Fully Embedded
Fully Real

Minima Moves From Code to Chip
🚀 A big leap forward for the Minima, University of Southampton & Arm Blockchain On Chip Project:
The team has nearly completed converting the entire Minima codebase from Java to C++, unlocking true native performance and portability.
This milestone brings Minima one step closer to running directly in hardware.
Why C++ matters:
C++ runs close to the metal - enabling lightweight, high-speed builds that can live inside embedded systems and future silicon.
It’s how Minima becomes small, fast, and ready for any device.
🔥 And now the breakthrough -
Minima has successfully run on an FPGA device.
That means the world’s most decentralized blockchain is already proving it can operate in silicon, not just in software.
From code to chip to device.
Minima is evolving beyond software - towards a future where every drone, car, and sensor can run a full node at the edge.
Every device, a node.
Every node, a network. 🌍

The Maximize Programme launched shortly after Mainnet as a way for holders to lock their Minima and earn rewards on a fully non-custodial basis. Since then, it has become one of the most widely used parts of the ecosystem, with more than 150M $MINIMA - around 15% of total supply - currently locked.
To ensure Maximize remains healthy and sustainable over the long term, we are making a measured adjustment to the reward structure.
To extend the programme well into the future, we will be reducing interest rates by half. This recalibration keeps Maximize attractive while allowing us to maintain the programme responsibly over the coming years.

Minima has reached a milestone the blockchain industry has discussed for more than a decade, but never truly delivered: a fully functioning Layer-1 blockchain node running directly on embedded hardware, without reliance on cloud infrastructure, heavyweight runtimes, or specialised servers.
Today, Minima runs on the Arm processor subsystem inside an FPGA board, with custom cryptographic accelerators. Minima’s deterministic architecture, combined with a purpose-built C++ code, positions Minima as the first blockchain genuinely engineered to live inside autonomous machines, not merely alongside them.
This is not a concept or a speculative roadmap. It is working now.
Read on for the overview, or over this link for the full update: https://minima.global/post/minima-achieves-major-breakthrough-blockchain-on-chip-is-here
The Blockchain-on-Chip programme has progressed from concept, to design, to live hardware execution.
👉C++ client for embedded systems
👉Running on @Arm SoC-FPGA Platforms
👉Integrated Into a Working Autonomous Drone
👉Hardware Accelerators in the Surrounding Silicon
Together, these components demonstrate that Minima can run as a full node in the same hardware that powers real autonomous systems, while pushing the most computationally intensive operations directly into hardware for speed and efficiency.
The hardware focus of the programme is simple and deliberate: blockchain at silicon speed.
By off-loading cryptographic workloads into dedicated FPGA logic, Minima achieves performance and efficiency levels that are not possible with software-only execution.
The SHA-3 accelerator alone has demonstrated an approximately 100× increase in hashing rate compared to CPU-based hashing.
This hybrid model control on the Arm CPU, heavy computation in FPGA silicon - is how high-performance autonomous systems are engineered today. Bringing blockchain into this model enables something the industry has never seen before at the edge: real-time, hardware-accelerated trust built directly into machines.
A drone, robot, vehicle, or industrial controller can:
👉Validate its own data and actions locally
👉Maintain a verifiable, tamper evident log in real time
👉Coordinate with other machines using a blockchain that lives in the same silicon as the control logic
Minima-on-Chip is no longer a research concept. It is running today on Arm technology, with validated silicon accelerators and a C++ client tuned for embedded autonomy.
Next steps include:
👉The public autonomous drone demonstration in late January 2026
👉Further hardening of the C++ client across architectures
👉Iteration on silicon accelerators based on real benchmark data
👉Collaboration with partners in drones, robotics, automotive, and industrial IoT
Minima is defining a new category. Blockchain that is not bolted onto devices, but built into them.
Embedded deployment changes how value accrues to the network.
As Minima is integrated into hardware and embedded stacks:
🔹Every device becomes a full node, strengthening the network
🔹Every attestation, proof, state update, or machine to machine interaction becomes a native Minima transaction
🔹Every deployment, whether a drone fleet, factory line, robot warehouse, or sensor grid, becomes a source of ongoing protocol level transaction flow
This creates real, non-speculative demand for the base asset, driven by how many machines depend on Minima for operational integrity, not by hype cycles.
These milestones show more than technical progress. They signal the emergence of a new category: a fully decentralised blockchain that lives inside the hardware powering tomorrow’s autonomous systems.
This is Minima’s edge: decentralisation not as an add-on, but as an inherent property of the machines themselves. Scalable, verifiable, and natively powered by Minima.

Cross-border payments still run on rails built decades ago.
Slow settlement. Intermediaries everywhere. Data exposed at every hop.
ThunderPay changes that.
In this demo, value moves from the UK to Africa directly.
No correspondent banks. No clearing houses. No visibility into who paid whom, or why.
Just settlement.
ThunderPay is powered by Thunder, Minima’s native Eltoo-based payment protocol.
It enables private, off-chain value transfer that settles only when needed - on-chain, by design.
This flips the traditional model.
Instead of trusting institutions to move money for you, institutions use open cryptography to settle with each other.
Frictionless. Trustless.
Privacy isn’t a feature bolted on later. Transaction data isn’t harvested, sold, or stored by intermediaries - because intermediaries aren’t required.
For emerging markets, this matters.
Lower costs. Faster access. No dependency on fragile correspondent networks or regional clearing bottlenecks.
And today, ThunderPay enters the open.
The Beta is live, and available for anyone to use. Simply update to the latest version of Minima & look for 'Thunder' in the MDS.
Not a closed pilot. Not a sandbox behind NDAs.
ThunderPay isn’t “crypto payments”.
It’s digital cash infrastructure - decentralised, private, and now usable.

Stablecoin Milestone: Testing begins this week - and it opens the road to the DEX
Today we hit a major milestone: a full, successful demo of Minima’s stablecoin - now officially named MxUSD. This means we can now begin a formal testing phase this week, moving us firmly into delivery mode.
Why this matters: MxUSD Unlocks the DEX Timeline
The stablecoin isn’t just another feature. It’s the foundation required to build a functioning DEX with stable trading pairs, predictable liquidity, and a usable marketplace.
With MxUSD working, we have addressed the critical dependency we have been waiting on. The pathway to completing the DEX in Q1 2026 is now unlocked.
Controlled Testing, January Launch
To stay aligned with our roadmap, and to ship safely, the rollout looks like this:
This week: Internal testers get access
January: Official launch after full testing and MiniMask integration
This ensures we deliver on our roadmap promise, while giving the engineering team the space to validate the system properly.
Phase 1 Architecture: Node Required for MxUSD to USDT
To deliver the stablecoin now, before MiniMask is fully tested, the system will launch with:
Website: USDT to MxUSD (simple onboarding)
MiniDapp: MxUSD to USDT (requires running a node)
This is a short-term limitation. Once MiniMask is out of Beta in January, web users will be able to convert both ways directly through the site.
MiniMask = The UX Unlock
MiniMask is the final piece that turns the stablecoin into a fully mainstream-friendly experience. It also acts as the UX foundation for:
- the DEX
- future web-based MiniDapps
- broader user onboarding
We’re sequencing releases the right way: build the core first, follow up with UX refinements.

Today, we’re launching the Integritas AI Agent for ChatGPT, bringing verifiable data integrity into AI-assisted workflows.
For the first time, users can create cryptographic proofs of authenticity for documents, files, logs, and AI-generated outputs - and anchor those proofs to the Minima blockchain - without leaving ChatGPT.
Full Announcement: https://minima.global/post/ntegritas-launches-first-blockchain-anchored-data-integrity-agent-for-chatgpt
Overview 👇
As AI tools are increasingly used to draft reports, analyse information, generate evidence, and support decisions, a key problem remains unresolved: AI outputs are easy to generate, but hard to independently verify.
Integritas addresses this problem by providing a secure, automated method of generating tamper-proof integrity records at the point of creation, enabling users to verify the authenticity of any stamped item at any time in the future - without reliance on cloud providers, platform trust, or centralised databases.
The Integritas AI Agent enables ChatGPT users to:
🔹Create cryptographic integrity proofs for documents, data files, logs, or AI-generated outputs
🔹Anchor those proofs on-chain using Integritas on Minima
🔹Verify integrity at any point in the future, independently and without reliance on a central authority
Integritas runs on Minima’s fully decentralised blockchain, ensuring proofs are:
🔹Immutable and censorship-resistant
🔹Lightweight enough for real-world and edge use
🔹Independent of cloud vendors and central databases
This launch marks a significant milestone: blockchain-backed data integrity, directly accessible inside one of the world’s most widely used AI interfaces.
Want to give it a try?
1. Head to https://chatgpt.com/gpts
2. Search for Integritas Audit Compliance & Proof
3. Attach your file and click one of the Prompt suggestions
“Stamp attached file” → to record it permanently on chain
“Check duplicate” → to see if it’s already registered
“Verify attached file” → to check existing blockchain proofs and generate a PDF report

Q4 wasn’t about promises.
It was about delivery.
As we close the quarter, here’s what the Minima team shipped, and why it matters for what comes next:
✅ Minima running on-chip
Minima is now running directly on hardware - proving that blockchain can exist at the edge, embedded, sovereign, and always-on.
This isn’t theory. It’s working.
We can't wait to demo this to you in January.
✅ Stablecoin infrastructure delivered
Minima now supports stablecoin issuance natively - a foundational building block for real-world payments, DeFi, and on-chain settlement.
This unlocks serious utility across the ecosystem.
✅ MiniMask launched
MiniMask brings secure key management and seamless user interaction to Minima - without compromising decentralisation or privacy.
A critical step toward frictionless UX on a fully decentralised network.
✅ ThunderPay released
ThunderPay demonstrates instant, private, decentralised payments - including real-world value transfer across borders.
No intermediaries. No surveillance. Just peer-to-peer money.
✅ Integritas: ASI:One + ChatGPT integration
Together with http://Fetch.ai, Integritas now integrates with ASI:One and ChatGPT, bringing verifiable AI workflows into live production.
Trust, provenance, and accountability for AI isn’t optional. It’s essential.
What this unlocks
With:
🔹 Stablecoins live
🔹 MiniMask in beta
🔹 Payments proven
🔹 Infrastructure hardened
We are now full steam ahead on the Minima DEX, targeted for Q1 2026.
This is execution compounding.
Q4 showed what Minima is about.
Shipping core infrastructure for a decentralised future: quietly, rigorously, and on our own terms.
Q1 is about turning that foundation into momentum.
Onwards.

More downtime for SUI overnight, we feel for their engineers - it's a horrible situation to find yourselves in and not for the first time.
When a network stalls, it’s usually not about bugs - it’s about coordination.
Minima was designed to remove coordination bottlenecks entirely. That's why we have had 100% Mainnet uptime since March 2023.
If machines are going to transact autonomously, the network can’t pause.

Weekly Engineering Update 23 Jan
DEX
Paddy has completed the first working version of the Minima DEX. Internal progress is strong, and he’s aiming to let the team start playing with it sometime next week. It’s not demo-ready yet, but this is a meaningful milestone.
Stablecoin Bridge
Final testing on the stablecoin bridge is now complete. We’re in the last stretch before launch, with the remaining work focused on setting up the final components - primarily deploying the bridge contract.
Chip & Hardware Progress
The drone project was successfully demo’d yesterday at Southampton. This sits alongside a growing body of work including a joint OpEd with the university, a forthcoming video documentary, and additional content planned via ARM and Siemens’ press and comms channels.
More to share soon as these pieces land.
