🛡 Minter Vault 101

Minter Vault is a storage that users send their BIP coins into, getting MVT receipt tokens instead. But what’s MVT? How does it work? And why would someone even need it?

Find out in our latest guide.
What if there were a solution like Amazon Web Services but for minting coins? Like PayPal or Venmo but for buying digital goods and services with loyalty points? Like Visa or MasterCard but for merging them all into a Global Rewards Network . . ?

Grom product manager @egordeev may just have the answer: https://medium.com/gromorg/minter-2-a-public-blockchain-as-a-global-rewards-network-6dd7317fa07f

The release of the global version of Minter Coins

We are glad to announce that Minter Coins is available globally.

The service has been fully translated to English, and for the payment method we chose PayPal — one of the most convenient, reliable and widespread payment methods in the world.

You can pay for your plan to create your very own brand coin by just logging into your PayPal account, or without registering using a credit card.

P.S. On the global version of the website payments from all countries except Russia are accepted.

Minter Coins — expand the community, improve its loyalty and activity using your own brand coin.

How does it work?

The main feature of the service is a simple and fast creation of your own brand coins, with which you can reward your subscribers and customers for various activities.

We have worked out many cases of using brand coins, you will be able to:

• Reward any activity
• Pay out prizes
• Gift coins
• Make offers available to purchase using only these coins
• Receive coins in exchange for your goods and services
• Get support (donations)

So, how do you use it?

1. Go to the coin creating page in the Minter Coins service — https://mintercoins.com/create
2. Select the appropriate plan, the symbol and the name of the coin
3. Pay the plan, create a coin and start using it interacting with your community

Brand coins are a completely new tool for brand interaction with its audience. Major companies such as Reddit, one of the most visited social platforms, and FC Barcelona are already implementing brand coins in their loyalty systems.

With Minter Coins any blogger, community or brand can create their own coin. Be among the first😎
I’m currently working on a project that will let you manage many blockchains at once from a single interface. Say, you want to create a token to reward your community. You go to this page, set some basic settings, and boom—you have it in a secure environment with options like ‘Allocate 100 Minter-based coins so they can be easily managed by users on a super-fast network and used to pay for gift cards’ or ‘Issue 1000 coins as ERC-20 Ethereum tokens and add them to Uniswap V2 with USDT liquidity so they can be traded.’ With this solution, you get all the benefits of several blockchains via a one-stop interface with no need to learn how to work with any of them. Just tap the button, and your token can be used as money; tap again—and it’s trading and has a price . . .

Blockchains are as good as their best practices adopted by the masses: Minter is for rewards, Ethereum for DeFi, Filecoin for storage, EOS may compute something, while Bitcoin will act as a vault. There will be so many chains and other DLTs that you better be below the Layer 1, in a Control Center of your token, so you can easily migrate from one to another as market and your needs evolve,

Long story short: I’m looking for a code name for this #Layer0 project. Please submit your ideas, and I will give 5 POPEs for the one I like most.

Thanks!
Minter is a global rewards and loyalty points network powered by a fast blockchain.

But how exactly do you create one of those?

In our latest read, you’ll find
• Reddit case study
• and Twitter integration example,

along with the technicalities of
• accepting your own coin for goods and services,
• building a cashback program around it,
• and using it to grant exclusive access or rank users.

🎛 A Compiled List of DAO Addresses

Look up yours here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LJLB30OlN5IbW2nIo18Bb6fRnzJBb79XjeNSeaWfBVM/edit?usp=sharing
The number of DAO coins for initial distribution = 30,000.

For multi-signature addresses, tokens will be credited to their managing (owner) addresses, they are highlighted in purple. The document consists of four sheets:

1. All addresses: a compiled list of addresses with amounts to be received. If a certain address can occur multiple times across other sheets, this one shows the combined value;
2. Top-1000: one thousand addresses ranked by stake. There is one multisig with four addresses (tokens will be evenly distributed between them);
3. Validators: validators’ rating that includes self-stakes. Tokens will be credited to the addresses for rewards. 14 addresses are found in other sheets or duplicated among different validators;
4. Random-1000: one thousand delegating addresses picked at random. There are 20 multisigs, each having two owners (tokens will be evenly distributed between them).

For better user experience and transparency, you may find various checks for columns and sums in the upper-right corner of each tab. Data source: chainik.io/dao.

P.S. Personal addresses of developers that contributed to the network’s progress will be added once their submissions are reviewed.

🔄 Upgrade to Minter v.1.2

Today, October 19, 2020, at ~10:54 UTC, Minter Network will be updated to v.1.2. The blockchain will stop at block #4150001 and will last approximately 1 hour.

Recall that the future update was preceded by 4 votes, in the last of which the final list of changes was adopted. The proposal was approved by 24 validators (or 69.18% of the network power), 3 validators (2.26% of the network power) opposed, and the remaining 30 validators (30.44% of the network power) did not vote.

The updated Minter Network v.1.2 will be launched from the 1st block. To do this, each validator will export the state of the current blockchain to a file — the new version of the node uses it as a genesis at the first start.

A complete list of future changes submitted by the Team and approved by the validators you can see here.

🍃 Smooth update, everyone!

#network
The Minter Team is announcing a program aimed to provide support to validators.

Validators whose goal is to evolve the network can now apply for a monthly grant to cover server-related expenses.

We hope that this move will let validators focus more deeply on building their audiences and developing the tech side of their projects instead of dealing with the problem of making recurring infrastructure payments.
