🚨 Important Concern Regarding Telegram Security 🚨

Telegram seems to have a weak infrastructure when it comes to handling flooding and spam attacks in group chats. Even anti-spam bots often fail to detect and block such activities, which many of us have already noticed.

More concerning, however, is that I’ve recently observed hackers gaining access to users’ accounts without any action from the users themselves. Two of my friends have already lost access to their Telegram accounts — and they never clicked any suspicious links or shared their credentials.
Back in 2023, there was reportedly a major attack on Telegram servers, during which hackers allegedly managed to extract the data of over 1 billion users, including phone numbers (exact figures may vary). This kind of breach is extremely serious and raises major concerns about how secure our data really is on the platform.

2-Step Verification, avoid using Telegram as your primary platform for sensitive communications, and regularly check your active sessions for any unusual activity.

✍️ Hide your phone number from being viewed by others

Obviously, it's a Chinese hacker group behind this. After hacking into my friends' accounts, they started sending suspicious links to me as well — likely because they gained access to all the phone numbers in my friends’ contact lists, including mine. 😭

One of the links they sent to me looked like this:
