عندما وصلنا إلى غزة، أخبرونا في البداية أنهم يؤمنون بالقرآن وأنهم لن يضرونا، قالوا سوف يعاملوننا كما يعاملون من حولهم، كنا تحت حراسة مشددة، كما جاء مسعف وطبيب وتأكدا من توفر الأدوية التي نأخذها دوما، كانوا مهتمين جدًا بالجانب الصحي، وكان لدينا طبيب ملحق يأتي كل يومين أو ثلاثة أيام ليرى ما يحدث معنا، تحملوا المسؤولية وحرصوا على إحضار الأدوية، وإذا لم تكن هناك أدوية متماثلة، فيعطوا أدوية مكافئة، لقد كانوا طيبين للغاية ويتأكدوا من أننا نأكل جيدا، كنا نأكل نفس الطعام مثلهم، لقد عوملنا بشكل جيد، واهتموا بكل التفاصيل، كان لديهم نساء معنا يعرفن معنى النظافة الأنثوية، ويتأكدن من حصولنا على كل شيء، لقد خططت حماس لكل شيء منذ فترة طويلة، لقد أعدوا كل ما نحتاجه، بما في ذلك الشامبو والبلسم - إن نقص كفاءة الجيش والشاباك أضر بنا كثيرًا، لقد كنا كبش فداء للحكومة.
