2 - TrailofBits & Prysm Audit findings implementation is done
3 - Battle of Nodes running a genesis-ready testnet for 15 days without downtime

Our launch & trading partner Binance has just announced the next round of support for Elrond prestaking via one of their products. The previous similar product has seen 500mn ERD deposited in just one day.

2.7bn $ERD are already staked in our Phase 1 contract. This new wave from Binance will help move that towards 3.2bn $ERD staked, 64% of our ambitious goal.

We are pushing hard to meet the three criteria for the #Elrondmainnet launch.

Most important focus has been on getting things ready for an in-depth security and economics audit. Findings indicate we have a robust network.

Here are a few more details:

By engaging Trial of Bits for a comprehensive security audit, we are benchmarking our security against the highest standards. They do work for Apple, Facebook & DARPA, and we have selected them to make sure the Elrond security is as robust as possible.

We are raising the Elrond economics standard by doing an audit with Harvard PhDs from Prysm Group, who are performing a deep dive into the game theory and mechanism design of our blockchain, to determine immediate effects & long term sustainability of our model.

Both audits require lots of effort and preparation from our team, attempting to simulate and stress-test curious and unpredictable scenarios. The audits part should be done in ~2 weeks, when we'll be prepared for the next level of heavy testing via Battle of nodes.

Our most advanced Battle of Nodes incentivized testnet will begin in the second half of February. The current bug fixes and new features are being deployed to BoNwards, our un-incentivized public testnet, which you can observe here explorer.elrond.com

The next version of BoN will start a trial by fire period for the Elrond Network, which will directly lead to the Genesis launch, once 15 days have passed without any network interruptions. Cannot overstate how exciting and important this period will be.

We are excited for the Genesis validator selection.

The next step in preparation for the Genesis block will require $ERD holders to choose:

- become validators that will run nodes on the Elrond mainnet
- become delegators that will put their $ERD to work via a node operator

Progress is steady and pieces fit together well

It will be a remarkable milestone to finally have a working blockchain with high bandwidth, low latency, high security, and low cost.
