The Viastake team has been a constant presence in the validator community. They have created the first un-official set of noscripts which a lot of our members used to operate nodes. Their numerous tutorials and guides and hours spent on answering questions and making suggestions have helped Elrond become better.

According to an announcement on June 2, the upcoming Elrond incentivized stress test will include a variety of different attacks on the network. Elrond CEO Beniamin Mincu explained to Cointelegraph:

"Anything that takes the network down is allowed, as long as it's not breaking the law or social privacy of participants. So DDoS-ing, hijacking rewards, stealing coins, double spending, minting new coins & other similar situations - we will reward every successful attempt to do any of those things.”

📊 FCAS Rating: Elrond ranks in Top 15 for Development and 50 Overall

Elrond was recently reviewed by analysis firm FlipSide Crypto, which assigned us a rating of 736 overall, which places us in the Top 50 projects out of the +500 projects that got an FCAS rating. Our Developer Behavior rating is an outstanding 911, which places us in the Top 15.

💪 These excellent results are even more impressive for a project that is still before the mainnet stage and therefore can’t score in certain relevant areas.

FlipSide Crypto makes comprehensive analysis for blockchain projects and assigns a Fundamental Crypto Asset Score (FCAS) rating. This rating indicates project health based on User Activity, Developer Behavior and Market Maturity.

CoinMarketCap includes this rating for all the projects it lists, which provides great exposure for those looking to learn more about a project.

💥 Explosive Start for Battle of Nodes: Onchained with +800 community nodes!

Only 2 days after the initial announcement, the dry-run for Battle of Nodes: Unchained already lined up 868 community nodes from 190 unique participants, with more arriving every hour. With our own Nodes in the mix, our testnet is now over 1.000 nodes, which is an amazing achievement for any blockchain, more so a testnet.

Ankr to provide 1-Click deployment nodes for selected Battle of Nodes participants

Elrond and Ankr have entered into an agreement which enables Elrond Nodes to be easily deployed and hosted on the blockchain cloud infrastructure provider’s platform. The collaboration aims to synchronize the capabilities of the Ankr platform with the specific needs of operating Elrond infrastructure.

The $60k Battle of Nodes: Onchained challenge draws +1700 nodes & attention

Beniamin sat down with Coindesk to discuss the implications of running an incentivized testnet with the explicit purpose of breaking it. The significant prize pool & open security challenge have already drawn more than 1700 nodes to our network, with more coming each day.

“When we have 15 days without interruption of the network despite this kind of attacks and stress testing, at that point we know Elrond is finally prepared and good – robust enough to go live,” Beniamin Mincu told CoinDesk.

Elrond’s 15-day clock resets when the “interrupters” manage to take the network down. Nobody has yet: Elrond’s protocol has foiled three attacks so far. Underminers have nevertheless uncovered plenty of lower-level bugs worth fixing, and that’s enough to keep nodes in contention for a slice of the $60,000 plunder, paid out in the $ERD token.
