We’re happy to share with you a new update to our mainnet explorer. Looking up a wallet used in Genesis Delegation will now show the Delegation Balance, in addition to its actual Balance.

3. Balance - how much eGLD is actually in the address. Your pre-mainnet 25% APR staking rewards are there

💹 Liquid Staking for Elrond PoS Participants via Stafi Integration

We’re excited to announce that participants in the Elrond Proof of Stake economy will get access to liquidity for their staked collateral via integration with Stafi Protocol. Staking-Finance is a novel DeFi protocol type that makes it possible to use the value locked for staking in DeFi scenarios.

The Stafi team are developing a decentralized network for staking smart contracts that can further be linked to proof of stake blockchains, such as Elrond. Instead of staking natively on Elrond, a participant can choose to stake through the Stafi blockchain, and immediately receive rTokens, proportional to the amount of eGLD staked.

The resulting rTokens reGLD are pegged 1:1 in value with eGLD and will be tradable or usable in DeFi scenarios i.e. for collateralizing a loan. The staked eGLD can be redeemed by the respective token owner, together with the accrued rewards.

“The addition of liquidity options for Elrond staking will attract more sophisticated participants to the Elrond economy. This in turn will lead to more value locked into it, resulting in increased security and stability for our network. Elrond Interoperability with Ethereum & Compatible Chains via xDAI Token Bridge

We’re excited to announce our partnership with the xDAI Stable Chain to make their Arbitrary Message Bridge compatible with Elrond. This integration will enable token transfers between the Elrond mainnet and Ethereum compatible chains, as well as smart contract calls between the different chains.

Making the xDAI Arbitrary Message Bridge compatible with Elrond will enable using eGLD in ETH-based #DeFi contracts or porting over stable coins from Ethereum onto our mainnet, preserving their value but making them transferable at much higher speeds & lower fees.

Identity & Data Management for Elrond Users & Apps via Ontology Partnership

We’re excited to announce our collaboration with Ontology with the goal of offering Elrond users and applications access to the decentralized identity framework and data management features of Ontology.

The ONT ID layer will be usable in conjunction with the Elrond blockchain, for example allowing users to authenticate against an Elrond application using their Ontology ONT ID. Furthermore, a bridge will connect the two blockchains, allowing assets to be moved between the two chains.
