​​Elrond Network is a definitely rare case in crypto, and here is why:

Elrond brings to the table Adaptive State Sharding, a solution that will scale almost linearly with the number of shards, improve communication inside the shards, increase performance through parallel processing and reduce storage.

Project exists since October 2017, testnet is almost ready, and all the development was self-funded by the co-founders. No private sale, no funds, no pre-sale, no shady deals at all.

Elrond team has already showcased its prototype and opened their GitHub in November, since then the team re-wrote everything from scratch in GO (previously it was written in Java) for the testnet, and has achieved a 30x performance improvement.

The team consists mostly of software developers with high expertise.

Elrond has a partnership with Netopia payments, the biggest electronic payment processor in Romania.

​​As for upcoming one, we keep an eye on the #ELROND project. One can notice that Elrond and LTO have lot in common when it comes to community management and engagement. That’s fair enough, and we actually think it’s a good approach. Also they are aimed to deliver the product before the ICO itself, so it’s already a huge plus.

As you might have noticed from our last reviews, we are 100% bullish on such initiatives. Guys from the team are nice to talk to and seem to answer all the community questions no problem. So as for right now we see a solid product coming.

We have been informed by multiple sources that investment pledges for Elrond are being collected by a number of pools.

First, we would like to highlight that Elrond is a regulated ICO under Maltese Law, and we have worked hard to become compliant. Our bank will not allow any unregulated funding without proper KYC & AML.

Second, it is important to note that buying Tokens for the explicit purpose of reselling those tokens pre-ICO, is in violation to the SAFT Agreement and forces us to withhold the distribution of tokens for an indefinite time period, until legal actions against the person in charge are completed.

During this round, we will only give out SAFTs to individual investors and funds, underscoring the importance of early investors, their continuous support and contribution. We are very interested, and welcome people who understand the significant potential that Elrond brings, and want to join and support our long term vision.

To sum up, Elrond has not signed any agreement with pools. Thus, we advise community members to keep their funds safe, and would kindly ask the pools in question to refund their users.

VERDICT: 8.5 out of 10

We definitely bet on Elrond to be one of the most interesting projects this season. The team despite not consisting of c-level executives from international corporations, has something that is much more important: “blockchain industry expertise”. These people are real, they work every day together in the office and they are doing it for a bigger amount of time than some of the already tradable projects that have not delivered anything despite raising millions. Elrond did not open any funding rounds until they had concept validated and tested which one and a half year of self-funded development. This has been said, we are excited for the future updates of Elrond, our rating will be reviewed closer to the mainnet launch and public sale.
